Works great for its intended purpose. Sticks great to carpet and will continue to be sticky after you have removed it. Do not install on carpet!! Unless you like sticky carpet. We had professional clean and realized it still is sticky. Looks like we're getting new carpet!

Got this to put in the floor of my vehicle, I drive a coupe-style sports car where no one ever sits in the backseat. I used it to wrap all the carpets and stock floormats. Makes cleaning/vacuuming so much easier, my yard is sand, clay, and dirt 90% of the year. No issues with melting in Texas heat, haven't had any issue with residue. I have not had to replace it yet on my driver's side floor, still holding up well after a few months.

For Christmas this year my 5 year old daughter received a very nice easel and paint set, which she uses in her carpeted bedroom... I think you can see where I am going with this...This plastic has saved her carpet from turning into the colors of the rainbow, while still allowing her to be the little artist she wishes to be!The plastic has been on the carpet (a gray Berber type) for a little over two weeks now with absolutely no issues; it isn't peeling up or cracking, and to be honest doesn't even look that bad. I have peeled up a little to test for any sticky residue, and so far there hasn't been any. The packaging states for use for 30 days or less, so we will be changing it out before the end of the month, but because it really wasn't any hassle to put on, I don't mind having to change it out if it is going to keep her carpet looking nice.I would suggest having at least two people, or a large weight, available for installing it. I just had my daughter stand on the end while I rolled it out. A single person could probably install it by themselves, but it might be a bit tricky. Also, have a nice sharp set of scissors (or a razor blade if you're handy with them) available to cut with or you may cut a bit wonky.I am satisfied with this product, the price is fantastic and it appears to be working out well, if I have any issues I will come back and report them in the future. Otherwise I will certainly be buying more when we run out of this batch!

I used to use another brand of carpet tape and this is nothing like it. It sticks to itself and separates at the level it should stick to brand new carpet. Gravity is enough to make it peel or a sneeze. Also many wrinkles in my reel.

I was optimistic but another review said it didn't stick for them and it also didn't stick for me. Car carpet is synthetic so I don't know what the problem is. I need to find something else ASAP. So disappointed.
