I kept it b/c I had ordered others and they were worse! A Velcro closing is the best, but you have to get the ends together and that means you have to roll the mat tight or you can't get the end through the buckle

This carrier is easy to use and holds my mat well. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it is easy for the straps to pull out of the buckle and then you have to fumble with it a bit to thread them back through.
