I've owned a Cuisinart Mini-Prep for many years, but the plastic around the blade was starting to split. I was concerned that the blade would soon go flying off the hub, and do some real damage. The machine itself was fine, so it didn't make sense to me to replace it for one small, replaceable part. I'm a bit of an ecology freak and hate throwing stuff out when the old one works. The blade and a new bowl were half the price of replacing the unit, and both were readily available on Amazon. In addition, I'm a Prime member, so the shipping on both was included in the price.The only downside, if you can call it that, is that the Mini-Prep has turned a bit yellow with age, and the new blade is shinny white. Other than that tiny anomaly, I feel like I've just purchased a new appliance. The lesson is, don't throw that old appliance out if an inexpensive parts replacement will renew it. Onwards and upwards for another 15 years!!

I really like using the one cup capacity mini-processor so I bought this replacement chopping and mixing blade. Because I sometimes want a larger salad I also ordered the two cup DLC-2 processor when I ordered this replacement blade. The larger capacity processor arrived at the same time as this blade so I have been able to try out each of them prior to this review. I love them both as they work beautifully for salad prep and clean-up. I mostly use this smaller capacity mini to chop softer foods such as squash, green beans, cucumbers (Armenian and pickling or "munching" types) radishes and onions. I also chop carrots with this smaller processor. Typically I will use the larger two cup processor when I wish to chop or grind nuts such as almonds, with out having to reverse the blade on the stalk as I so with this one cup mini.

The blade sent to me by Jada lifestyles doesn't fit my cuisinart mini-prep plus. The ad implied that it does fit!!! Also Amazon stated that JADA lifestyles would send me a return label so I could get a refund, but JADA did not, and Jada was supposed to respond to me by email, which they did I not!!!! Bad product and ad! Don' t fall for this one! Barbara Zimmer

This blade appears identical to the original one which came with the food processor and works just as well.However, that means it will probably fail in the same way as the original-- falling apart because it is largely made of weak plastic. Cuisinart should sell blade assemblies made of sterner stuff.

Based on the fact that it said it was frequently returned, we were worried it wouldn’t fit. If you buy the right replacement for the right model, it’s perfect. Grateful to have a functioning mini-chopper again.
