I initially had a bit of a problem with the on-off switch. If you rock it toward the "on" position but don't get it fully depressed, the blower runs but the heat doesn't come on, so then the popper just keeps blowing out unpopped kernels. At first I thought my popper was defective! Once I succeeded in really turning it on, it worked fine and made good popcorn (though it does still throw out quite a few unpopped kernels while it heats up, as other reviewers have noted). I just started using it, so I can't speak to how well it will hold up over time.

Recently replaced our old sunbeam hot air popcorn maker with the Cuisinart thinking it was a good one. What a mistake! It wastes more than it makes, shooting out unpopped kernels. The popcorn when it finally starts to pop (which takes FOREVER), shoots out of the bowl and by the time you are done, you have kernels and popcorn all over the counter and floor. Definitely do not need the “cooling†switch. It makes zero sense. Dont waste your money. I would return if I hadn’t missed the deadline to return.

At first I turned this on and waited and waited and nothing happened. Then I finally figured out that there is a 'midway' setting that heats the popper but not hot enough to actually pop the popcorn. So be sure to turn the switch not halfway but all the way on.I wish the lid somehow fit into the popcorn popper because it takes up too much room in my little cupboard. Would an engineer please design a lid that fits seamlessly into the popcorn popper after you finish popping it. Perhaps with snaps to 'build' the funnel so it can fold down flat after the popcorn is popped. I have the ideas but not the knowhow of how to make it happen, but whomever can do it please do and I will buy that popcorn maker hands down.This one does leave a fair amount of non-popped kernels. It seems even a bit more the longer I have it. But at least it doesn't burn them or shoot out all over the kitchen like my last one, so I call it 'good enough.'

The Cuisinart EasyPop is simple to use. and makes popcorn fairly quickly. However, there is an intermediate setting which always seems to get selected that does not pop the corn, but is supposed to be used in a cool down mode. This is very annoying, because it is unnecessary and is easy to select. After five minutes with no popcorn popping, you suddenly realize the wrong setting was used. Very annoying. The lid has an indentation for butter (which I don't use) and therefore don't have to clean it. Not sure if the lid is dishwasher safe, for I never use the butter feature. But overall, makes really good popcorn and it looks nice on the counter too. Would recommend.

I am starting on Weight Watchers after overindulging this past season. Turns out air popped corn is zero points so a good snack choice. I chose this air popper because it is attractive and a brand that has made good products for me in the past. It works best when I put in a half cup of kernels. One half cup of kernels and push the button - next thing you know you have a big bowl of fresh popcorn! When it gets near the end of popping I turn off the heat and that seems to prevent any burnt popcorn at the very end of the popping. My only possible complaint is that the actual button is rather small and I wish it was bigger. Overall I am thrilled with the fun of making popcorn and the fact that this is a healthier (and cheaper) way to do it instead of buying microwave bags.

Pretty good, but if you don’t fill the measuring top all the way, many of the kernels will be spit out of the machine instead of popping. Sometimes that happens a lot anyway, so maybe it’s all random.Also, pay attention to the settings. There’s one in the middle on the new model which isn’t actually hot, and you can waste a lot of time waiting for it to work. I felt pretty silly when I realized it…Otherwise, works well enough.

I've purchased 2 of these in the last week because my old Cuisinart popper no longer produced enough heat to pop the kernels, that machine lasted about 2 years. The recent purchases to my dismay also do not get hot enough to pop the kernels. Left the machine on for about 10 minutes with the kernels in, and none will pop, even touched the interior of the machine while air was flowing and the temperature was just past lukewarm, it should've been capable of burning my hands. Might be a problem with recent batches, but do not purchase this product as it will not work.

Al comprarlo en rebaja pensé que no serÃa lo que esperaba, pero la calidad de la marca, su presencia hermosa y eficiencia en su uso, me hace darle la más alta calificación, el maÃz se transforma en unas gordas y deliciosas palomitas en segundos!Recomendaciones: No hay que ponerles absolutamente nada durante el proceso, porque se contamina y puede afectar el sistema, lo que recomiendo es que al momento de salir y están bastante calientes, pueden aplicar mantequilla en spray, sal o azúcar l se absorbe en las palomitas muy bien, ahora a disfrutar el producto!

Me gusto que es de buena calidad, hace las palomitas muy bien deja muy pocos granos de maÃz en mi casi 5 todos se hicieron y lo mejor es que en 3 min. Ya tienes palomitas y sin grasa. Recomendado
