I teach high school chemistry and having access to weigh dishes is always important. Most students need to understand the concept of TAREing a balance and these help teach that, along with just being useful for other labs where that skill becomes a basic skill.I often use these for a "truth in packaging" lab where students measure candy packages to determine if the advertised mass matches the packaging. These are big enough to hold a pack of crackers, nabs and the like to accomplish a lab like that.
