I ordered this for farmer's markets that I sell my orgonite pyramids. I usually set up a full-size folding bookshelf, but it is just too large to be carrying around everywhere. This can be used on a tabletop and fit about 12 -16 pyramids. I thought maybe I would need to figure out a way to dismantle this, but it is small and light enough to carry without any trouble.Putting this stand together was quite easy. I did it while sitting on the couch while sick. I had to look at the installation picture a couple of times to make sure I used the two nut pieces correctly (use them very last on the bottom shelf). I didn't need any other tools except for the enclosed Allen wrench. I was pleasantly surprised to find they included extra pieces just in case. The shelves are a thin veneer so if you aren't careful you could chip the edges. Luckily they finished both sides of the shelving so you can turn it over if there is irregularity on one side. I like how they standardized the installation with only one size/type of machine screw. I didn't have to wonder if it was this one or that one, etc.The bottom stand could've been built just a little differently, or the base could've been built just a little taller to standardize the height and depth between the shelves. The bottom shelf kind of hides under the next shelf stopping you from using the back half of the bottom shelf. Oh well...all in all, this is a good-looking display for all kinds of things.

I am using this for displaying toys and figures, and the screws that are on two of each tier stick out a lot more than I would have expected. They are not flat head either, they are rounded. So plan on having two small bumps on the edge of each of your tiers.Other than that, it's nice, good value, large holding capacity and reletively sturdy as long as you are careful with putting it together. Assembly took about 15 mins and wasn't too hard. I really like the dark colors and fit well with other dark wood and black metal desk items I own.

The "cupcake stand" arrived well packaged. The frame is a heavy metal, painted black and there are four shelves that are made of pressed-wood (particulate) with a glued wood veneer that is water repellant. Also included is a hardware bag with all the necessary screws, protective felt pads (for the bottom of the frame), and a tool to tighten the screws when assembling. I appreciated that the instructions did not have a difficult-to-read poor English translation- mainly two pictures that display how to assemble the unit and included required hardware. Once assembled, it looks great and could be placed anywhere.This is advertised as a cupcake stand (which it could definately be used for), but it's so much more versatile! For instance, I immediately placed four different types of K-Cups, one type to each shelf, to display and have easy access to. I placed them only one high per shelf and left plenty of room between the K-Cups and this allowed a total of 40 on the stand. I placed the stand on my coffee table- perfect for my needs. This stand could also be used to display jewelry, specialty foods or any items of interest. One could even use this in a bedroom or bathroom and place an alarm clock, medicine bottles, soap, hand towels etc. on the sheves. Anything on the tiered shelves is easy to access- which is a big plus! I have not used this stand for an extended period of time, so I can't really speak of the durability of the shelving veneer, but I feel it is more than durable as long as nothing sharp is placed on the shelves.What I like:* Very sturdy; feels very solid* Shelves are water resistant, provide easy access to items and look good* Versatile use; so much more than just a cupcake stand!What I didn't like:* Included instructions are quite small in size, in my opinion, and might be hard to read for those who do not have sharp vision (like some older people)* Picture of included hardware shows what is needed for assembly, but in my hardware package, three different hardware items had several extra pieces. For example, for the screws, the instructions show "16 PCS", but there were actually 19 in my hardware bag. This might cause confusion for those trying to verify that they have all the needed hardware and wondering what to do with the extra pieces.Suggestions:1. If the instructions are too small to be seen easily, just take a picture with your phone and enlarge it to see more clearly.2. Remember that the hardware counts in the instructions is WHAT'S NEEDED for assembly - not how many actual hardware items might have been included in your shipment.3. On one of my four shelves, there were a few minor blemishes and one had a minor scratch. Look them over and when assembling, choose the best side to face up and that should not be an issue.4. Don't overly tighten the screws, especially on the shelves; only gentle hand tighten with the included tool so as not to cause any damage.5. Take your time assembling this. It's not overly complicated, but does take some time as there are 16 screws that need to be manually tightened and parts need to be held together as you are doing that.If the instructions were enlarged and it was noted that the hardware listed is what's required for assembly, (not what you might actually receive), this would be a 5☆ for many applications, and of course, for use as a cupcake stand!I do recommend this item (but took off 1 ☆ for small instructions, extra pieces and minor scratches and blemish on one shelf) . Overall, in my opinion, this is a great mini-shelving unit and look forward to enjoying it in the years ahead.
