These stingers are pre-fitted with a factory-torqued trailer ball, eliminating the need to mount and torque your own trailer ball. This means a loaded ball mount is ready for towing right out of the package! CURT offers loaded ball mounts in a variety of styles and weight ratings. This CURT forged loaded ball mount features a gross trailer weight capacity of 15,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 1,500 lbs. It comes with a 2-5/16" trailer ball, making it an excellent choice for towing most heavy-duty trailers, including large boat trailers, double-axle utility trailers, deluxe campers, livestock trailers and recreational vehicle trailers used for hauling motorcycles, personal watercraft and ATVs (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). This ball mount also has a length of 8-1/2", a drop of 4" and comes with a durable carbide black powder coat finish to resist rust, chipping and UV damage. Perfect for higher load towing needs like car trailers or equipment trailers. Built to last forever. Even comes fully assembled and the ball is factory torqued to spec. Really impressed with the paint quality, especially when compared to similar products from lesser brands (which chip and peel). This coating lasts.

I currently have an 8 inch drop Curt hitch for my one trailer, but my other dump trailer, even after I made adjustments on the hitch, was still too low. So, I purchased this Curt hitch 4 inch drop, but it still was too low, so I returned it too Amazon and bought a more expensive adjustable hitch from Amazon. This Curt hitch is solid and affordable, just didn't fit my needs.

Like so many others the pin was missing on my order. The ball mount and ball assembly I would give a 5 star. Great product, just don't count on having a pin arrive with it.

Wish was true 4" drop as advertised. Missed return window as wasn't ready for it when ordered. Highly disappointed
