âââââI recently purchased the CURT 45405 Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter Reducer Sleeve, and it has been a great addition to my towing setup. The adapter is well-made with a sleek carbide black finish that looks durable and stylish. It fits perfectly, converting my 2-1/2 inch receiver down to a 2-inch receiver, and it’s held up really well during use. Installation was straightforward, and the adapter is solid and reliable. If you need a quality reducer sleeve for your trailer hitch, I highly recommend this one. It’s effective, sturdy, and a great value for the price!

My new truck had a 2.5" receiver, but my primary hitch (ProPride 3P) had a 2" receiver. My choice was to purchase a new receiver for the ProPride, which would cost a lot of money, or get a simple insert like this one. I chose to go this route and it works great! Fits snug in the receiver and doesn't create "play" for the hitch. If you need an adapter, this is a great choice.

It’s made with quality just make sure you measure the pin hole before buying. This adapter worked great for me. I had bought a previous one not from Amazon and the pin hole didn’t match up. Just check to make sure it aligns.

Before purchasing this adapter, I had bought one from Home Depot (I was in a pinch). This one is a MUCH better fit in my Chevrolet 2.5 receiver. The Home Depot one sat way inside and it felt like the hitch was very loose, this one sits outside (in front) with wall protrusions, similar (not as extensive as though) the original sleeve that came with my truck. It seems nice, our actual next trip will be in 2 weeks, we shall see how the sleeve performs.

Does exactly what its supposed to do. Great solution if you have a 2.5" receiver hitch and 2" shank. Would have preferred the pin hole to line up with it all the way in but not a big deal. Sticks out about an inch and a half. Not a big deal to me. Better than spending $$$$ on a new 2.5" shank for my weight distribution hitch.

Works great on my 2011 ford F350 dually,Had to rotate it "sticker side" down to get it to fit. It sticks out more than my previous adapter...maybe like 1/2 an inch but It has not been a problem.

Was exactly what I was looking for. Got moved into a newer truck at work and did not know that this vehicle had a Class V hitch. Was able to get this reducer to pull company trailers. Works very well for my application.

Works as intended. The hole didn’t line up exactly with the receiver on my truck. That made it really difficult to mange, holding and moving the hitch, adjusting the adapter and trying to get the pin in all at the same time didn’t work. I rotated the adapter 90 degrees and drilled a new hole. Now I can push the adapter in as far as it will go slide the hitch in and then the pin. A lot easier. The ad did give that measurement so if I’d checked carefully I would have found it to be off before ordering. But I figured it was standard and would work. Well not quite.

simple product, solidly made, very quick delivery and the price was a third of the price of the same item at local auto-parts store
