We needed a better solution. The sliding door from kitchen to the deck required updating. For aesthetics and energy efficiency reasons. Curtain replacement was our first choice, adding multilayered insulated replacement. Not finding a suitable replacement at any retail market my wife's was to fashion her own design. These grommets were the best solution. The price was very easy on the budget and incredibly easy-to-use. They were perfect for this DIY project.

Read up on how to install them and you will have no issue. I put in 20 grommets in an hour or so. The hardest part is figuring out where to place them and cutting out the circle. I used them on room darkening curtains, so they were pretty thick and these rings were just fine. No tools needed to close them.

These are made of plastic. Easy to pull apart and reinstall on your curtain. They’re very easy to use. I imagine that the grommets will take a bit of a beating in laundry, so you may want to wash by hand and that scrape the coating off of the grommets. This is a product that will get the job done at an economic price.

So, I'm going to start by saying I threw these away. These are definitely not sturdy enough to handle the thrashing of large wet dogs who would rather not be taking a bath right now thank you very much. Very thin pop metal or aluminum over very cheap plastic. That being said, I should have paid close attention to the fine print, and so it is partially my own fault. But, even if I were looking for a budget option for light duty, these aren't it.
