I'm very happy with this dust shroud. It fit my Dewalt 4 1/2 in angle grinder perfectly with the adapters provide. I used it to cut mortar joints out if a 14' x25' brick patio, that took over 20 hours to complete. Only prodused a small amount of dust when frist starting the cut. Good product.

I bought a cheap angle grinder ($20 Tool Shop) for 1 project. I had to modify the angle grinder as well as the dust shroud to make it fit. I ground off part of some screw heads on the grinder and notched the band around the shroud. I also made a plexiglass cover for the exposed side of the cutter wheel. After that, it mounted firmly and worked perfectly for my job. (Trimming tile already mounted to the wall) I was pleased that it collected all the dust. Virtually nothing escaped.

I installed it on two different 4.5 in. grinders, a DeWalt and a Makita. On both grinders the wheel was rubbing the shroud. The backing flange supplied was thinner than the factory one on both grinders. The backing flange needs to be about an 1/8 in. Thicker in order for it to have enough clearance.

Fits all clamp feature is awkward and depth of blade may be a problem. If doing anything more than just a bit of work, get a grinder that has an attachment built for that grinder.

This does a great job of containing dust from cutting tile and cement, when attached to my shop vacuum. I was very impressed. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I had to modify it slightly to fit my angle grinder.
