It's a good egg basket. It's not huge, so if you have a lot of chickens you may need something bigger, and depending on your preference, you may or may not like the opening. Sometimes I have issues getting my hand in to pick up multiple eggs because the mouth of the basket is smaller and at those times I wish the mouth was flared wider like some baskets, but I like the look and when I originally bought it, I got it because I didn't want a flared out mouth and I still don't, but there are times when I see the pros and cons of both.

Made well. Color is a muted red brown not black or dark iron that seller’s photo shows. I do like this color over plain black though. It is smaller than I anticipated but will serve purpose for morning egg collection and is pleasing to look at sitting on counter. Eggs in picture are small sized pullet eggs (not your standard store large size) shown for size comparison. Overall, happy with purchase.

It's a cute basket, but the description can be misleading. It may hold 30 eggs, but it won't hold 30 large eggs. The opening is small for people with large hands, and the base is a bit wobbly. It a decorative basket that will make a nice display, and good for small batches of eggs. It served its purpose during the winter, but now that spring is here, I need(ed) something to collect 30+ eggs daily... so I bought one that'll hold 3 dozen large eggs.

This is nice for my 2 year old granddaughter to get the eggs. It holds more than it looks. The basket does cushin the eggs and my granddaughter tested it hard...2 eggs cracked the first time, but she was bouncing the basket more than a basket of eggs should ever be bounced. The next times she carried the eggs in the basket more normal with less excited vigor, but like a toddler nonetheless, and the eggs made it to the kitchen without cracks! We have had it a month, so I can not attest to the endurance over time.

Love this little basket! We were using 18 pack egg cartons to carry all of the eggs up and when the weather is nasty it's hard not to drop or break any. I have only broken one since I started using this basket and that was my fault as I accidently dropped the egg into the basket. My husband laughed at me when I bought this but now he makes sure he has it every morning for egg gathering! Very happy with this purchase!
