NON-SLIP, DURABLE AND COMFORTABLE

WHY DOES SOLE HAVE TO USE COTTON?

  1. Cotton is a natural fiber, cotton fiber surface roughness is better than man-made fiber, so cotton has better anti-slip properties.
  2. Cotton is not as durable as polyester, but it is softer, skin-friendly, comfy than polyester.
  3. Cotton absorbs moisture faster than polyester, but it drying is not as fast as polyester. In most sports for no more than 3 hours, or all-day leisure, it can exert excellent moisture absorption and keep dry.
  4. Full cotton socks are not suitable for long-term hiking in the wild.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMBED COTTON AND CARDED COTTON

  1. Carded yarn refers to the yarn that is carded according to the general spinning system and does not go through the combing process. Carded yarn contains more short fibers, poor parallel straightness of fibers, loose structure, more hairs, and more knots.
  2. Combed cotton yarn is softer, smoother, and more durable than carded yarn.
  3. True combed cotton is often found after comparison and use

I find these almost identical to Wilson sport sock they no longer sell. They fit and feel good but are a little long for me. After several wearing they seem durable. Recommended.

Nice and thick, well made socks. Long enough they come up over my son's knees, with room to grow into them, which is very appreciated!

I've worn these CWVLC socks for 4 years now, and they keep my legs/feet from swelling. They work better than the $50+ prescription socks my doctor had recommended. Well made, sturdy, wash up well and they hold their shape for years. Happy customer, I highly recommend.

Fit bigger and stretcher than many other brands. Kids both loved them, but second game one sock got a huge hole where the stripes meet at the top when the thread pulled. Not very durable if minimal use makes them fall apart.

Grabbed these for my kids to wear during October for tackle football. The socks fit well, and stayed up during games without issue. Definitely worth the price I paid.

Having worn over-the calf socks my entire life, I can report these CWVLC brand socks are well above average. They are marketed as sports/soccer socks but I intend to use them “off label” as they say for non-sports uses. Had them about a week now and worn them for both work and at home doing yard chores. Comfortable in both situations. Thick enough to provide some padding and warmth, not so thick that they are bulky on the feet or make getting work boots on/off a chore. The best part as far as I am concerned is they stay up on the calf where they belong and you are not constantly pulling them up. The elastic tops are generously sized and plenty snug without being uncomfortably tight or constricting. This alone puts these socks a cut above many competing over-the calf socks I have tried. The seller description claims the socks are a blend of polyester, cotton, spandex, and nylon. No labeling on the package I received and I have no whey to verify this but by touch and appearance this seems accurate. Different areas of the sock are made of different materials so there was some thought put in to the design and construction.I have a mens 10.5/11 size, E width foot. Used the seller provided size chart and got the large size sock. Spot on fit for me. As you can see in one of the photos, the calf portion of the sock came up to just below my knee at approximately 18 inches from the bottom of my heel.I got the 6-pack of white socks. At about $6.50 per pair as of April 2024 they are in line with quality over-the-calf socks I have purchased in the past. Can’t really comment on durability yet but will return and update if they do not hold up in actual use relative to their price. For me, so far, they check all the boxes and are better than many of my current socks. Five stars at this point.DISCLAIMER: I am a member of the Amazon Vine program. This means that I receive some products free of charge to use and review. I only request/accept items I will actually use. My reviews are based on this real-world usage – they are not mere regurgitations of the Amazon product description or insincere hype. I am not a shill and I do not consider the fact that an item was provided without charge as part of my ratings. I have given Vine products one star, five stars, and all points in between. I put serious effort into my reviews and they represent my honest opinion of the product. My hope it they will help someone make an informed, educated choice whether or not a product is right for them.

Been using these for a couple months now and they are holding up well. I know soccer socks are supposed to be tall, but I can't believe these are youth socks. I'm 6'2”, and they come up to my knee caps, so I'm guessing they would comfortably hold shin guards and still come up to the knees on youth. I like 'em, though.
