The kit itself seemed well made and appeared to be good quality at the price point, but I got no futher than attempting to install the spark plug adapter before I realized it was not suitable for the task I had bought it for. I had planned to use it to do leakdowns on Yamaha outboards, but the adapter's threads were not long enough to reach the threads because of the shoulders of the spark plug well.Had to return the kit and look for another solution.

The product simply did not work as described. Useless.Secondly the cable you insert into the cylinder head, did not allow for it to be removed! When turning the cable anti clockwise to unscrew it, it turned in the cable attachment to the socket, it did not let me pull it out. Eventually it came out, but for some time I was affraid that I had to remove the entire head from the engine just to get the cable out. Terrible.

I took a chance on this cheap set just because how can you screw up a simple leak down tester, right? Well, one way is to make extremely cheap hoses that the ends spin on and will get stuck in the cylinder when trying to remove it. As soon as I got above 50 psi into the cylinder the cheap hose ends started leaking air like crazy, thus making the test results invalid
