They're just simple, shallow, metal paint trays. Obviously they'll rust if you leave them wet. But as long as you're drying them out periodically they work great. Cheap and durable-enough. Exactly what I was looking for.

I love these dishes and definitely prefer them to cheaper ones. Tamiya has always been on point for my modeling hobby. Very well made and fairly deep. I use them modeling with putty as well as paint.
