Wish I'd been wearing this day 1 on the mountain - highly recommend for beginner snowboarders or people with previous tailbone injuries. It fits under my bib fine... can make everything feel a bit snug at times, but without it I wouldn't have been able to snowboard at all this season so totally worth it!!! I tried a pair of spandex padded shorts as well, but they did not provide nearly as much coverage or protection as this product - this pad has a hard outer shell as well as soft padding.

Great product, protects your rear. I am an intermediate level snowboarder and I hadn't gone boarding in 4 years. Last time I went I fell hard on my tail bone so I bought this pad. Fell a couple times, didn't feel a thing, even falling on some big rocks and tree roots when going through the gnarly stuff in the trees. The hard shell is a butt saver! A lot of people commented on the buckle being uncomfortable in the front. I just ran the buckle through my 2 front belt loops so the buckle sat on top of my belt, worked like a charm, didn't dig in to my abdomen that way.

This is amazing!! The clip arrived broken, the waist buckle. other than that great product saved my butt snowboarding ( I ride pretty aggressively ) Hoping they can send me a replacement clip as the one showed up broken and fell off right away and got lost

I’ve had tailbone pain for over a year from falling while learning to snowboard. So the next time I went out got one of these—I fell a couple times directly on the tailbone, and it didn’t hurt one bit. It directs the force away from the tailbone. I’ve read that females are more susceptible to tailbone injuries bc of wider hips, so I’d recommend any female learning to board get one of these for their FIRST time out—or you may be living in pain like me. I was wearing padded shorts with a tailbone pad the first time, but that didn’t protect enough. At least now I can board without worrying about injuring it again. It’s a tad bulky, but I got used it quickly and didn’t notice it much. If your boarding pants are really slim fitting, you may need to buy pants with just a bit of room in hips for this pad. But people I dont think can tell or see it once you have your gear on.

Love Azz Pads! I don't think I would have kept trying to snowboard if I felt every fall and the Azz Pad helps keep you safe and comfortable. However the straps are quite silky/smooth which means when you tighten the strap it doesn't necessarily stay in place. Also unfortunately the end of the strap is not large enough to keep it from slipping out of the plastic end piece. I was carrying mine around the resort after boarding and at some point the strap slipped out of the plastic end piece and I dropped it (I was carrying it closed and just looped around my arm) so I've now lost it. Not at all the manufacturer's fault but just FYI -- carry it by the leg straps not the waist strap.

As a middle age male who switched from skiing to snowboarding Azzpadz have been a game changer for me. I started snowboarding at the end of last season and wore an old pair of padded MotoX shorts. While they worked fine they were very bulky with padding on rear, thighs and hips and just made me feel like a blob. I’ve had enough tumbles to realize the importance of having a tail bone protector. For the 2019/2020 season I researched alternatives and settled on the Azzpadz D30. I ride groomers rather than park so hip/thigh padding is not important as all I am looking for is rear/tail bone protection. After 8 days on the snow this season I am very pleased with the purchase. They are not bulky and after a few minutes I don’t even feel I am wearing them. I’ve had a few falls and my tail bone/rear has been fine. They also help keep you a bit warmer when sitting on the snow! For non-park riders I would definitely recommend these.I bought size medium and they are a perfect fit - I am 155 lbs/70kg, 5’9â€/173cm and jog 6 days a week.

Like many others, I bought these to protect my tailbone while snowboarding. Putting them on was quite easy, and doesn't add too much bulk/space, meaning I didn't have to size up in pants! By far way more comfortable to wear than my padded shorts (which I've tried at least four different kinds). The flaw in these pads is that the leg straps don't ensure a consistent and proper fit.The first day I wore these, these pads worked like a charm! I took several spills, and even some intentional ones just to test out the pads. Got up every time with no pain and feeling almost invincible! The second day I used them, total failure. After a few spills, my tailbone was in great pain - which I actually think was due to the pad itself!I went back to my padded shorts for the next few days. The difference between my first day and the second day was simple - baselayer thermals. On the first day, I wore thermals under the pads. The leg straps never moved, and everything worked as it should. But I ran hot all day, and ditched the thermals for the second day. So on the second day, without my thermals, the leg straps would not stay in place, they kept sliding up my legs (never to the point that it caused discomfort). This in turn allowed the pad to move around. While riding, the pad was right where it needed to be. But when I fell (or even sat down), the pad would slide up and I would be sitting on the bottom part of the pad every time. There is a circular/rounded section at the bottom of the pad, which I fell on directly once and am pretty sure is what bruised my tailbone.I'm 5'-7", 150lbs, and I bought a size M. The leg straps for me needed to stay just above my knee. If you're going to be wearing thermals all the time, I think these will work great. If not, then you need to figure out a way to make sure the leg straps stay in the best position for you all day. Maybe I'll try a small, but then again - my padded shorts cost a 1/3 of the price and have never failed me yet. I very much wanted to like these, but I cannot due to how they worked out for me.
