I've been using Mitchell Lurie reeds for about 7 years now, exclusively. I'm a band director and I want a reed that will perform in several ways. I want tone, great tone from my students, and so I want the highest strength each student can handle. This is the reed that lets them play a half or a whole number higher than other reeds. Great results, every time. Thanks to Amazon we can afford lots of reeds. Great price, great product, every time.

I've played the clarinet for over thirty years and have taught many students to play. Mitchell Laurie reeds have the best, most crisp sound with very little of no airiness to it even for beginners. So glad I can now find these on Amazon!

These are what my son uses these for practice since they are less expensive but he prefers the Vandoren v12 reeds for performances. I’m not sure if that’s just psychological or not, I can’t hear a difference - but as long as he’s playing his clarinet I’m ok with it.We seem to go through a lot of reeds so if he wants to save me a little money I’m down for it.These sound great to me and he is happy enough to use them for the most part so I would recommend them for clarinet parents. Reeds seems to be a personal voice for the kiddos but give them a few options to try and see what they like.

These are WAY better than what the music store sold us with the clarinet we got. My 9yr old first year band player is over the moon with these. They have such a nice sound. Would buy again!

Ottime ance, funzionano perfettamente e sono il meglio che la Rico/ D'addario può offrire, sia per il jazz sia per la classica.

IMO better than the Vandoren trad 2.5s (which cost ~3 times as much) and even the Royal 2.5/3s (also more expensive). With a closed face mouthpiece like the V. M-13 and a decent ligature this plays unbelievably easy and smooth for extended periods; no squeaks or warbling sound. Strongly recommend, especially for beginners.
