This cutting mat is a game-changer! It's super sturdy and the self-healing feature is amazing - no more worrying about those ugly knife marks. I love that it's clear, so I can see exactly what I'm cutting. The gridlines are super helpful for accurate measurements too. Definitely worth the investment for any crafter!

I purchased this self healing mat for the purpose of leather-working after countless hours of researching all of the tools and products I would need to start creating leather ART! This particular mat was highly recommended on a website on which they listed all of the basic tools needed for making leather work. After seeing the reviews, I was kind of torn between this mat, and another highly reviewed brands' mat. I'm happy I went with this one.As petty as this may seem, I loved the fact that it was black as opposed to most of the other ones being green. Put that on top of the many highly acclaimed reviews, and recommendation from another source, the choice was clear.I've been using this mat for a few months now, and trust me, it's taken a beating. I've sliced and sliced on this thing with anything from a basic utility knife, to a rotary cutter, and mostly xacto knives every day since getting it, and it's really held up! I don't see myself having to replace this mat any time soon. In fact, I'll be purchasing another, as my wife and I are in the beginning stages of having our own leather company. We're not doing this as hobbyists. Leather-working is what we want to DO as a living. We're moving from Oakland, CA to the Sacramento area to gain more space, as the Bay Area of California is ridiculously expensive, and we're currently working out of a studio.Our goal, and only thing we want is to have a modest house that has a garage so we can use it as a work space. We plan on having at least 2 large working tables in our new work-space, so getting at least another one of these is definitely going to be required.Dahle really holds up to what they advertise this mat is. It's extremely well made, it's definitely self healing, and I won't be buying any other brands' mats. This is an incredible item offered at a more than fair price, so it really is a win-win. I'd highly recommend this product to anyone that needs a mat like this for their work. Especially leather workers!!

Love this guy. I don't really like the plushy desk mats that are quite the craze right now. I like how this feels with my mouse traction. I basically glides over which some folks might not like, I have my mouse sensitivity quite high and I feel this is perfect for it. Its really quite thick and I have to be honest when I say that I don't use this for any cutting but I would say it's my desk is my work bench. I've spilt a fair share of liquids on it and its holding up really nicely. The best of all of this is that it's nice and thick which stays still on my desk. I was initially worried that it would slide around but the weight of it keeps it anchored.Not only does this look really clean and minimal, its functional as well. The price is quite fair for what you're getting.

I've seen several YouTube videos that said you could use a self healing mat in place of a clear acrylic plate in die cut machines. The acrylic warps over time but the self healing mat lasts much, much longer. I have tested the clear self healing mat and I'm 1000% in LOVE with them!I use this in my original Gemini electric die cutting machine and it works great! The best part is that it has barely made any dents in my cutting mat. I also use it with my Xacto knife for other craft projects so it has multiple functions. The mat is not 100% clear, a bit on the "cloudy" side - so semi-clear but you can still see through it.Do not be fooled by cheaper self healing mats being sold on Amazon. I purchased some and the quality does not come close to the Vantage self healing mats! The other mats I bought were so thin that 2 of them was equivalent to one Vantage mat!Be forewarned though - with enough pressure you *CAN* warp this self healing mat. I couldn't get an embossing folder to work properly and added way too many shims. It was too thick and when running it through the Gemini, I heard the most awful noise (more than "normal") and permanently warped my self healing mat! After wrecking 2 self healing mats, I am very careful with the amount of shims I use with my Gemini machine.

I got this to protect my work bench where I do art work (polymer clay, mixed media, vinyl, paper, painting, jewelry making, resin) to protect the wood top.This arrived fairly quickly, (there was a delay on UPS's side), and it arrived flat in a large box. It has a strong smell (like of a new plastic shower curtain) but dissipates eventually. I am trying different things on the underside to prevent sliding, right now I'm using tacky dots. I don't know why there isn't an option for this type of cutting mat to have a non-SLIP backing. I ordered the clear and its translucent grey and looks nice. It's a nice thickness and edges aren't too sharp. These are VERY pricey in craft stores so I'm happy I found this one.I also ordered Creative Grids CGRMAT2436 mat, it hasn't arrived yet, but I'm going to compare it to this one and decide if I'll keep it for the other half of my work bench or return one of them and get a second of my favorite.For those that record video of their endeavors, even with a work light at it's brightest, this only shows up with a sheen, no glare.

Me gusto ya que es grande y muy practica para cortar con cúter rotatorio o normal, el único detalle es que como es color transparente si se mancha se notan mucho las manchas. Excelente producto creo que también comprare la tabla color negro.

Came on time and 'flat' in it's own box (A++ Amazon). This is my first mat ever..got tired of using random other surfaces and wanted to try one. Am impressed with the price, sturdiness, the gauge marks, rulers and no cuts noticeable on its surface after trying it out. I really didnt notice blade drag on the mat but I only did thin material cuts so far..but theres not a mark on it from any of the cuts..will have to see what pressure cutting does sometime..but I'll avoid it if I can anyway. It appears it can be used on either side..I got the 18x24 version..I might like to try the higher priced brand name mats to see any difference...but my value for dollar rating is 'high'. I expect to share my cutting needs between this, my scissors and my bladed paper cutter...so I may never need another one.
