I picked up these Stoicism affirmation cards on a whim, thinking they’d be a nice little daily ritual, but they turned out to be so much more. The quality is top-notch—the cards are thick and sturdy, and the tin storage case makes them feel like something special rather than just another deck of quotes. I actually liked this set so much I even ended up picking up their other "Unleash the Beast Within" set.Each card has a quote from a Stoic philosopher on one side and a practical application on the other, which I really appreciate. It’s not just abstract wisdom—it actually gives you something to reflect on and implement. The wooden stand is a thoughtful touch, letting you display a card as a daily reminder.If I had one small complaint, it’s that the categories (Wisdom, Justice, Courage, and Temperance) aren’t evenly distributed—there are way more Wisdom cards than the others. But honestly, every card has something valuable to offer. Whether you’re new to Stoicism or already live by it, this set is a great way to reinforce the philosophy in a simple, tangible way. Would definitely recommend.

These cards are a delight. The quote on one side, the short helpful text on the other, perfect for a bit of daily dedication and learning, and the little stand to let your favorite or your daily choice be handy in sight. At least one of the things beyond the content is the quality -- the card stock is substantial; I measured it at about 16 thousandths (that's the thickness of four 20lb sheets) and it is stiff, smooth-finished and smooth-edged, very high quality. The coloring, four of them, show which category the card is in, Wisdom, Justice, Temperance, and Courage. There is no bad advice here, only good and most excellent or beyond, to transformative if these are not already in your way of life. All these are absolutely compatible with my own religious beliefs, even though the sources of the quotes predate most modern religions. A word of caution -- the quality extends to the packaging: the can comes in a protective box, and both the can and the cards are tight-wrapped in a plastic cover; open carefully lest you scratch or bend the can or cut a card. I used the tip of a sharp craft blade -- there was certainly no just pulling it off by hand, it was that well done. Enjoy, as I did, what these little reminders have to say. These would be suitable even for teaching children over the age of say, eight, and certainly anyone through advanced age who would enjoy reminders about appropriate ways to be.

Boy everybody needs a little bit of stoicism. These cards will give that to you. I absolutely love the straightforward messages on each card. It does come with a little wooden holder so you can put the card of the day up. Use them as a mantra throughout your day. There's some good advice. Definitely recommend for the more gruffer tough love type of person. Straight and to the point.

I will start with the neat metal box that houses the 50 coated cards in this inspirational set of philosophical and stoic quotes: it does its job (keeping the cards organized, clean, and out of the elements). The metal box also holds a small wood stand that will display your “stoic quote of the day†as motivation.The cards are 2-sided, one with a philosophical quote of substance, the flip side providing a “modern†hint, tip, or suggestion on how to apply the aphorism. Love it! These are simple, but profound, and much better than other card decks I’ve seen that tend to interpret too much, and from more modern self-development gurus. The quotes featured on these cards are from The Stoics.The cards are very well-made (printed on 350gsm card stock), and won’t bend easily, they are also color-coded for each of the themes: Justice, Wisdom, Temperance, Courage. Neat little illustrations on the cards featuring busts of philosophers on one side, and an attribute on the back side.
