The raw material
Cashmere production has four basic steps: harvesting, sorting, shearing, and spinning.
Harvesting is done by hand combing, during the natural seasonal moulting of the animal in late spring. Sorting and grading of the hair is also always done by hand.
The fiber is then washed to remove dirt, grease and any remaining plant matter from the collection, the fiber is then is ready to be made into yarn
Weaving
The production of knitted fabric, called knitting, is carried out using straight knitting machines.
The resulting fabrics are allowed to rest for a day so that they regain their natural indentation as a result of tension and elongation due to the weaving process.
The garment making-up
The making-up in which the various parts of the pattern are assembled: front, back, sleeves, edges and collars.
We use tools such as sewing machines, cut and sew, and linking machines, which require highly skilled staff to ensure an excellent level of quality of the garments made.
Washing and Ironing
All our garments are washed through a phase called "fulling" which allows us to give the garment the usual softness typical of cashmere.
The final ironing completes and enhances all the previous operations. The garment is bagged and is ready to be sold.

The only downside was the wait for the item to arrive. In the meantime I found something similar in a local store and will be sending this one back....for exchange, though, not for return. The product is so nice that I'd like to have it in a different color.

This was a gift for daughter in law. The color is perfect, the length is just right which allows for different options of knotting. Material is very soft, and great color.

The pink color of the scarf is NOT as pictured. It is much brighter/deeper pink in real life. If you are looking for a soft muted pink this is not it. I was really disappointed that the seller misrepresented the color so drastically (I took off one star due to that). Other than that the scarf is great quality. I have sensitive skin and this is super soft and warm.

I was expecting a "pashmina" thickness but this is rich and the border is like a crew finish which is also so elegant.

Soft, lightweight, warm and looks beautiful looped around the neck. It’s nice and long. It’s perfect for wearing in a chilly house here in New England or on a cold airplane. I love Italian knits...and this scarf is a beauty. Che Bella!

The color is not rich. The scarf yarn is too thin. Does not feel like 2 ply cashmere. Scarf width is too narrow as compared to other knit cashmere scarves

I love my new cashmere scarf ! It is gorgeous, soft, perfect length and perfect price, for a quality Italian made scarf. Wonderful customer service, came on time, packaged nicely. I have wanted a cashmere scarf for as long as I can remember, I so wanted their to be a positive experience. There are so many on line and I was nervous about buying the right one. This was a very positive purchase, I couldn't be happier. If I have to find a negative, it would be that it isn't a wash and dry. You can wash it in delicate cycle or hand wash... Lay it flat to dry...will update my review when I do wash it, for now, Iove it and it's perfect and worth the wait!
