Nice solid spout. My old one stopped working from (apparent) years of hard water buildup and we couldn't get the water to switch/divert to the showerhead. Installation of this one appeared easy enough. However, no matter how hard or how many times I tried (and rewrapped the pipe with plumber's tape) I could not get the adapter threaded far enough onto the pipe. We ended up actually screwing the adapter back into the back of the spout and installing it as a whole unit. Only then could we get it flush with the spout ring. It works great though! Diversion of water to the showerhead is smooth with a minimum pressure drip from the spout.

i'm 80. i installed this myself. it took all of 10 minutes. the hardest part was unscrewing the old faucet. I just stick a pair of scissors up the nose hole and turn.The pull up on my old one broke - it took a year and a half. I was buying these at home depot. they no longer carry them. So as always, I turned to amazon. now i have a new faucet . Easy to install, looks great and best of all the price.

It's made out of some pretty cheap materials, but it lasted for a few years. It's the same thing you pick up at Lowe's or Home Depot.

Fits on the 1/2 inch pipe that sticks out about an inch out of the wall. All plastic inside, so I'll see how long it lasts. Chrome spout itself is thin cheap metal. Can't expect much at this price (under $14). It replaced a 50 year old all metal spout that is 3 times heavier.Note that the video with this listing is wrong - it shows a smooth pipe coming out of the wall. This product is for a 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch threaded pipe that comes out of the wall about an inch.

Plumbing in my home is from the 1960s. It’s very difficult to find fixtures that fit. The spout fits perfectly.

I have changed many shower diverters, most of them being 3/4†connections. I needed a diverter for a 1/2†connection and tried three different DANCO diverters, unfortunately none of them worked. The plastic piece that is supposed to convert the connection to a 1/2†pipe was too small each time. I went to four different stores to buy these and each time the employees said that they’d work. At the last store which was a plumbing supply shop we tried to put a 1/2†pipe into the diverter to test it and the plastic connection was too small. The store employee was surprised that it would not fit. Not sure why these are flawed, but if you need an 1/2†connection I’d pass on this one. You can see the pipe that I was connecting to in my photos, it’s a standard 1/2†pipe! Eventually I bought a shower diverter with a brass connector which worked perfectly. Came with an 1/2" -> 3/4" adapter (that we didn't need), and was VERY easy to install. Took about 5 minutes, we haven't seen any leaks, works great, and seems to be of sturdy quality. Shipping was super fast, highly recommended!
