Bought this to replace the delta plastic crystal knob in our 1990s shower. We have the diamond shaped thread and this fit great. I will say it did not come with instructions but I was able to find the pdf of the installation guide here in the Amazon app. For people saying that the handle wiggles after installation, double check that the adapter is fitted into the square ‘holder’ of the handle before tightening down. Working great and the handle is decently constructed. Easy, well priced fix for our guest shower that looks a ton better!

The handle fit well but it is a little loose but does not feel like it will be coming off. The handle seems durable and is a good value for the money.

Although more cheaply made, the design is better than original. Also, the set screw and clamping mechanism are better. The set screw is flush with the handle so the access is easier and there isn't a well for water and minerals to collect which lock up the screw.

I had high hopes for this product from Danco as I've used some of their others with good results. This trim ring is disappointingly plastic, which will make cleaning more difficult. But the bigger problem is the lever (I didn't use the knob) is very loose after the set screw is tightened as far as it can go. The handle does not fall off, and it's functional, but it's such a poor design. I bought a black set to replace an original chrome Delta lever and trim - the Delta lever was nice and tight. I'm past my return window so I'll live with it until I find a better product.

This kit is designed to update the Delta 600 "ball lever" control and does not replace the "guts" of the mechanism like the proprietary Delta kit. In my opinion, if you have a Delta 600 and are looking to update the appearance and operation your fixture, spending the extra money for the actual Delta kit is a no-brainer.With that said, I purchased this universal kit in chrome with the hope that it would help me update the outdated appearance of my antiqued brass Delta 1600. This fixture uses the old cartridge rather than the "ball" and is no longer supported by Delta, though aftermarket parts are still available.First impression - better than expected. The pieces are finished nicely and seem to mimic the overall design of the newer Delta fixtures. The backing plate is chrome plated plastic but the handle adapters are cast brass. It includes two backing plate adapters to match your screw configuration, two sleeves, a new thread endcap, a diverter block-off cap, and two handles: a clear plastic "knob" and a chromed metal lever. More on these later.I layed everything out, took my fixture apart, and immediately realized I would not be able to utilize the new endcap; the 1600 endcap is simply a different shape than the 600. I went ahead with the install. The backing plate and screw adapter fit perfectly. Next, I selected the smaller sleeve to cover the valve body. It would not seat due to a slightly smaller ridge inside the end of the sleeve. I removed some material (perhaps .5 mm) with a rotory tool and sanding wheel until it seated properly on the stem o-ring. Once it did it worked fine. Next, I installed the handle adapter and noted that the 1600 stem is apparently keyed slightly different than the 600 since the adapter did not sit vertically once attached. This would result in the chrome handle (if used) being angled in the off position, however the knob wouldn't be affected. I wanted to use the chrome handle so I started looking for ways to modify the adapter. I started to screw the set screw into the chrome handle to get a better overview. This is when I realized that the threads cast for the set screw were completely buggered - the set screw would not thread in and I would need to drill/tap the handle to make it work.Since it would require too much work to complete the job in the time I had allotted, I scuttled my plan to use the handle at this point and decided to mount the crystal knob temporarily so I could get the unit working and return the handle for replacement. The problem I immediately observed is that the crystal knob is so clear you can see right through it, and the "old" brass fixture cap is pretty unsightly. I removed the knob, taped it off, spayed the inside with some Appliance White Krylon, and reinstalled it. This gave it a contemporary look while hiding the guts of the old 1600. I'm actually quite happy with the white knob and now have no desire to modify the handle or return it. The knob fits tightly on the adapter hardware and everything looks right at home.End result - this was an excellent, low-priced solution to my particular problem. I took away two stars for the defective handle and somewhat cheap plastic backing plate - I see no reason why this plate cannot be made of metal for only a couple more dollars (if any). The modification I made to the sleeve was very minor and can be done with a round file, swedge, or a rotary tool like I used. Go ahead and give it a try for your 1600. For your 600, I strongly suggest you go OEM.

“This shower handle—let me tell you, folks—it’s the best. People are saying it’s the strongest, the most tremendous handle ever made. The last one? Total disaster. It broke—SAD! But this one? This one is strong. You grab it, you turn it, and wow—it works. Some say, ‘Mr. Trump, how does it compare to other handles?’ And I tell them: no comparison. Other handles? Weak. Pathetic. This one? It’s winning. It’s like the billionaire of shower handles—everyone wants it, folks. Believe me. Five stars, no question. The best handle, just like America used to make. You’re gonna love it!â€

Fit perfectly on my 80s Delta faucet (replaced a dated-looking crystal ball). Took a few tries to get the last set screw in place, but not loose at all. Gives a much more contemporary appearance.

I bought this shower handle to replace the crystal knob style on my Delta shower. I was going to buy the Delta shower from Lowes and just replace the handle, trim, head etc like I have on 2 other showers. But thought I'd give this a try. It is a fairly clean looking handle and trim although the handle, instead of bending at 90 degrees bends at maybe 45 degrees of the wall. This make the fitting stick out a lot more than the Delta. It makes it look a little bulky. Also the adapter kit that makes the handle attach to the mixer shaft is very poor. The adapter I was instructed to use, makes the handle wobble and feels crappy. I had to make another piece work by adapting it to fit with the grub screw. There is also a plug in the outer metal trim that is not shown in the picture because it is covered by the crystal knob. This is for a diverter switch if your shower has one. I don't and it makes it look a bit crappy too.

I just replaced the old Delta 600 series knob with this Danco handle lever and one of given adapters. However, the hot and cold is reversed. Anyway, it works.

I had a tap that showed a little of the pipe not knowing this tap was what I really needed, deeper set to cover unsightly plumbing. Looks great now.
