Our 9yo has some texture issues with clothing and prefers athletic material over all others. I actually got these for him to use as pjs bc blue is his favorite color and he prefers looser clothes for sleeping (most kid pjs are tight and I didn’t want to fight him anymore). I ordered him size 12 and they are a bit big, but don’t look huge on him. He’s tall and about 80lbs.

We used these for his neon dance party at school and it was perfect. Added some paint also. Thin so he wasn't hot. But shorts might be a little 2 thin depending on what kind of boxes they use

My son is in-between medium (age 10-12) and large (age 14-16). I ordered size 12 and they fit perfectly. Comfortable material, washes well. I will order another colour in the same size.
