I have always found Plastic Wood to be an extremely useful product. However, the cans often end up drying out before they are used up. These tubes are much better at keeping the product usable over a longer period of time.

I use it around the house on baseboards and chipped furniture. It cover holes, dries fast, and after sanding lightly to make it smooth, I paint the area and looks like new.

Another reviewer complained that this material dries and becomes harder than the wood around it. Word of warning - that is entirely true. I filled some screw holes on a guitar with this material, and wound up snapping two screws when driving them into this material.

Works great. Why on earth do they also put it in a can? An hour after you use it---even if you cap it---it's dry. And more stores have the can--which is why I got it from Amazon.

I used it to fill a deep 3/8" hole just to fill the space. It seems very firm. I also used it to fill a hole in wooden trim and re-drilled it for a screw that holds on an aluminum frame for a storm door. It is holding strong. It helps to have this in a squeezable tube to project it into small holes, but the downside is that there is not very much in each tube.

Works great. Drys fast. Sands great. Finishes great. Takes stain.

I've been woodworking as a hobby for decades and have usually used lacquer based wood putty in a tiny metal can to fill nail holes. By the time I had my next project ready, the wood putting in the can had dried out hard. I poured a little lacquer thinner into the can and replaced the lid. And then waited until the next day to use it. I had hoped that this squeeze tube would avoid that problem. I used it the first time, and it worked great. I replaced the cap, making sure it was a tight seal. The next time I went to use it, it had dried out and hardened near the tip of the tube. If you only need to use it once and then throw the rest away, I guess this would be fine. But that just seems too wasteful for me.

After first use it dries preventing future use from same tube.
