Hi Mids: +-12dB 2.8kHz (potentiometer included).

9V-18V operation: The Tone Capsule can function with either one or two batteries in series for 9V or 18V operation respectively (battery clips not included).

Installed on my 2011 Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass Special HB. The difference is night and day compared to the OEM preamp. Amazing upgrade to this bass. I personally prefer the sound of the Darkglass Preamp to that of the EMG BTS, which I have 2 installed. The sound is very transparent. I use D'addario Chromes and play with fingers or pick.Highly recommended!

I can't imagine a better product. With 3 band eq, my tech was able to add a stackable knob to avoid routing. The tone is heavenly. I actually don't even need my tech 21 interface anymore as this preamp is incredible straight into the board. I still use the tech 21 for some effects, but I don't use any compression effect as I don't need it.

I removed all of the electronics from my Ibanez SRMS805 because I did not like the Bartolini pickups in it. It had a three-band preamp wired into it, so I replaced it with the Darkglass tone capsule. After putting in enough time to fully understand the wiring diagram (I do not regularly work with electronics) it was quite easy to wire up along with the new pickups that I installed. This made a massive improvement to my bass! They are not kidding when they describe it as "transparent". It cleanly allows you to boost or cut bass, low-mid, and high-mid frequencies without coloring your sound in any other way. I was only disappointed in the fact that it did not make me a better player, but transparent is transparent! Haha... I like that it does not adjust treble, but hi-mid frequencies, which is more appropriate for a bass. I would highly recommend the tone capsule if you do not feel like your built-in preamp is really cutting it.

Excellent tone and super versatile. Installed in a 2011 Spector Euro 4lx to replace the Spector tone pump. Insane quality and the tone is truly amazing.

Amazing product that High mid pot really hits the spot. I recommend this for rock and metal bassist. Ps: yes, get those Aguilar pickups you keep looking at.
