the unit came pre-assembled. welded joints are solid, the black matte paint finish was clean and well done. it has 4 rubber footings. great for small spaces or desktops. it arrived well packed with a styrofoam sheet between each divider and covered in a plastic bag, which was inside a perfect fit size box.When removing the styrofoam, I notice there are some silvery styrofoam hairs / threads. They may look like human hair, but are NOT human hair. Just grab a hair and see how easily it breaks. Human hair doesn't break easily, however foam hairs/threads do break easily. These hairs/threads are generated by the hot wire used to cut foam into sheets. When the temperature and cutting speed are such that the wire drags thin filaments of melt along as it moves. It isn't a problem, just do a light vacuum on the unit and it will remove them.Highly recommend this product. Will buy again!

This product has allowed me to finally set up my desk in the fashion I deserve! Seriously, the item is so well made: The size is perfect for journals, day books/ appointments books, loose paperwork, files, folders, slim binders.The variation in compartment height allows smaller books to be easy to access and place back. When I need to set a larger binder on my desk, I put two of these Dasher organizers end to end and prop the binders between them.There is nothing flimsy here: These organizers are very well made, and have good weight. In addition, they have kept me from constantly getting up and down to retrieve and replace binders, books, files etc that had to be stored away from the desk because, until Dasher, I had nothing sturdy to keep them all upright.

I love this item. It sits on my desk next to my printer. Everything has its place and needs to be put in its place, but is soon forgotten at the end of the day if its not out where I can see it. If priorities change as to which one is more urgent, its location in the file is easy to change.

Small footprint. Slanted file holder gives visibility to each of the files. Great for organizing and keeping my desk top tidy!
