A little backstory: my husband and I had wanted to plan on doing a Montessori floor bed for our son when he was ready to transition to his own room, but realized that, for us, this may not happen for quite some time (and by that point we may just go straight to toddler bed). Our 11 week old son had recently outgrown his smaller bassinet, and in this transition has been sleeping in the bassinet insert in a pack n play in our room- but now that he is more active and wiggling and kicking all the time, the pack n play bassinet just does not feel stable (plus the “mattress†is really just more of a board which I can’t imagine would be comfy for sleeping).Just received the crib yesterday, and my husband set it up last night in our bedroom (our son will sleep in our room until at least 6 months, if not longer). As far as I know, it was relatively easy and straightforward to set up, although the longer front and back pieces weren’t labeled up from down so my husband just had to flip it around at one point to get all the edges along the top flush.Obviously have not had this crib long enough to comment on durability, but it feels extremely stable (which was my main worry when ordering a crib that was under $100). It does not wiggle at all, and all of the joints are completely tight together. I was worried about the hardware not being hidden like some of the more expensive crib models, but the ebony color we ordered came with dark charcoal/black hardware so it barely shows at all. Not sure that would have been the case with the hardware that comes with the other color options.We have the Newton Baby crib mattress (also highly recommend!) and it fits so perfectly in this crib- so snug down in the frame there’s not even a hair of space between the mattress and the slats.I didn’t really check the height of the crib before ordering, so was a little surprised with how low it seems overall- but I actually prefer that, since our son’s nursery is pretty small I think it will feel more size-appropriate for the space once we move it in there.Will update in the future if this changes, but so far, very happy we took the chance on this very affordable, cute little crib!

Great crib for the price! Easy enough to assemble. However, there are those little nut inserts that screws go in to, and they seemed too short. You had to have them just perfect before the screw would slide in. (Reason for 4 stars) If they were longer, they wouldn't slide around as much and it wouldn't have to be positioned just right. It took longer to assemble for that reason. But once you figure it out, it's not terrible, just inconvenient.

I did SO MUCH research-before buying my baby girl a crib!! It took forever to decide, but I chose this one based on reviews and after visiting the company's website. This is the same company that makes many other (way higher priced) cribs, such as the Babyletto brand....on their website, they explain how safe their products are, especially the paint used - which was a huge concern for me. Plus, I like that this crib was low and it would be easy for me (at 5'5) to pick up my baby and put her down to sleep. Crib arrived, no complaints - package was great, my husband put it together in less than 45 minutes with no trouble at all, it is very sturdy - VERY good looking and it didn't have that new paint, nasty chemical smell thank goodness. I love it!! I would highly recommend this....I looked at so many other cribs on other sites, I emailed other companies asking about their paint, etc....I feel confident that this one was the best choice!

I had been searching for a crib and the most important thing to me is that it had as few toxins as possible, while not completely breaking the bank. When I found this greenguard gold certified crib on sale in the natural wood color, I decided to give it a try. I am very pleased with it. I opened the box outside on our back patio and could detect a smell, which I believe was mainly from the packaging. I aired out all of the crib pieces for 3 days and nights outside. I then wiped all of the pieces down with a vinegar spray. I brought it inside and set it up and notice no smell at all. I am super sensitive to VOCs and toxins so I am very happy!It is a softer wood, so it will eventually show teeth marks/whatever, but for under $150 it was worth it to me. There is some sort of stain or finish on the wood but it seems to be a very light coating. I had been eyeing the babyletto cribs and at double or triple the price, I don’t think I would have liked them any more than I like this one.I bought an avocado organic crib mattress and it fits very well! It won’t need a crib skirt because you can’t see the black frame peeking out from under the mattress. Love the low profile and the 4 adjustable heights. I put it together alone (8 months pregnant) and it was not too hard, took an hour or two. Highly recommend.

This crib is perfect! I love the look of it as well as how sturdy it is. It fits our Newton mattress perfectly! I love that you can take off one of the sides to turn it into a toddler bed (you do have to purchase an attachment to make that happen)
