Used on a 96 Ford Explorer 4x4 Sport (2 dr)We always replace the body mounts when starting a build or project and I've used only Daystar urethane for at least 20 yrs maybe more. The stock rubber body mounts are either worn out from use, ozone or UV damaged or a combination of the two with the steel body or mounts having rust damage to top it off. The Daystar urethane body mounts allow enough flex to not be solid mount harsh yet have a slight amount of movement during hard body flex helping the in cab feel and no noise. We toss the stock body mount bolts and use 3/16" plate for washers for our purposes but I'm sure stock bolts and washers work for stock usage. We mount fiberglass fenders and besides so having the body in the correct place so alignment of body panels is correct and the feeling of the vehicle after replacing with the Daystar urethane body mounts is always much better. We only use Daystar urethane body mounts and highly recommend them for any use mild to wild!

Great product I ordered this bushing kit for my 2001 Ford Explorer Sport 4x4 2 door and had it installed by a professional mechanic. My bushings were all rotten and this stopped the banging and body roll on my truck the dealer wanted 800$ for the bushing kit from Ford buy this kit the quality is great and you will save about 670$ I highly recommend it.

I installed this on my sons 2002 Explorer Sport to replace the defective factory foam body mounts. The mounts in certain areas wasn't a perfect fit on a '02 Explorer Sport like above the rear axle I hade to shim up with washers as spacers. Also I didn't need to replace front bushing because the original front mounts were made with good material and didn't decay and seem to fit better anyway. But all the other areas fit fine and had no problems fitting into place. I will say this using a torch to heat up bolts for removing made it a lot easier because of corrosion and thread lock. The material of the daystar body mounts seem to be of good quality and should last the life of any vehicle plus a lot cheaper than buying factory replacements at the dealership.

I'll start with the fact that it is a pretty nice ride once installed. There was a huge lack of instructions, the only thing that was given is which mount goes on top and bottom but it did not specify which side was right side up on any of them. The top fittings is obvious which side goes down but the bottom bushings it's hard to tell so I still don't know if I put them upside down or not. They also don't tell you if and where washers are needed. The instructions was the biggest take away in my opinion but it's a very important piece when dealing with mounts on your vehicle, that's why I give it a 3 star

I purchased these for my 2001 Ford Explorer Sport. The original body mounts were corroded and worn out. I felt every bump, and heard every shake. I couldn't find replacements anywhere. Thanks to Amazon , I not only found a replacement , I also got it at a great price . I instantly gave them to my mechanic (too big of a job for me) ....And OMG!!!!! ....I feel like Im in a new car. So smooth . If you want to get that old smooth ride back , hit purchase

Finally got them installed and made the 2001 Ford Explorer Sport with 160k miles drive better than new. The installation turned out to be difficult because being from a state where the body mount hardware was rusted in the removal of old hardware was difficult. Other than that the install was no issue with perfect fitment.

I bought these to install on a 1996 Ford Explorer XLT. The installation was easy but the results disappointing. The 2nd generation Explorer suffers from a very stiff suspension. These body bushing only make that problem worse. Although going over major pot holes is much better with the Daystar bushings, I can now feel every little crack and imperfection on the road. I am even considering junking these and getting the OEM bushings from Ford.
