2008 4runner SR5. Was easy getting everything apart.. buuut, it takes 2 people to rastle the bottom of strut back in its perch..Once that is done its gravy! Oh, another thing! Its much easier if you take the sway bar completely loose! all hardware off! ( So, you have a easier time getting the strut down far enough to get the 1-1/2 spacer on!) When all said and done it sits level! If the vehicle I just bought hadnt had new shocks all the way around I prolly would have gone a different route.

This leveling kit is great. Price was great, shipping was great. Thanks Amazon! The material is nice and solid.Now for a piece of advice...If you are looking to install these DIY style, then go for it. It doesn't take a mechanic to do this as long as you have a general understanding of how to use sockets, ratchets and torque wrenches. However, if you are not totally 100% confident in your abilities then HAVE A PROFESSIONAL INSTALL THIS KIT! Safety FIRST people! For those of you that think you can do this, get an extra jack, your gonna need it to get the rotor/caliper assembly back up into place in order to put the tire back on. This install to me around 2 1/2 hours for the 1st side and about 30min for the 2nd side. Once you see it done the 2nd one is always faster correct? Good Luck! (Note: You have been warned)

Installed this Daystar 2.5" Leveling kit on my 2003 4Runner Sport SR5 V8. Did exactly as advertised, the front is now level with the rear. Have a '97 SR5 that I put Old Man Emu shocks and struts on several years ago, which created a very mild lift. When compared to my '97 the 2003 was 3 inches lower in the front. (I installed air bags inside the coils on the rear of the '03 as I bought the V8 to pull my trailer) I have the XREAS suspension and had been looking for something to gain some ground clearance in the front, especially if I add air to the rear. The Daystar kit was the exactthing I needed. The toughest part of the install was getting the strut out of the mount due to rusted bolts and top of the mount that fits through the upper control arm. We also removed the sway bar and sway bar end link to give us room to drop the strut without disconnecting the lines for the XREAS.The Daystar instructions show removing the strut completely, which cannot be done with XREAS. One side took several hours of PB Blaster and trial and error, the other side took 45 minutes.Definitely improved the handling, especially cornering, even at slow speed is noticeably flatter. Feels and looks like a different vehicle.

Very good product, fit well on my 2006 Ford F150 supercrew, made the front of the truck level with the rear end so noe it sits level and looks awesome.

Good for the guy who just wants a little more ground clearance and possibly a little bigger tire. I also installed the add a leaf to the rear after installing this leveling kit, it almost puts the front of the truck just a little higher than the rear without it. Very easy to install with just basic tools almost everyone has lying around. Its a little tough getting everything back together once you've added the spacer in but nothing the normal guy cant figure out, I did it by myself in a little over an hour. You will need to get an alignment once you are finished though.

Installed on a 2008 4Runner Sport with fresh OEM suspension.Leveled the front perfectly with the stock rear suspension. No noticeable chg in the way it drives...just a correction to the hard rake.~2hr job for my mechanic due to the hydraulic suspension lines. Paid $200 (always tip your mechanic) and will need an alignment ($100). Worth every penny...
