The crown jewel of the Classic Collection, the Classic T65 tower speaker, boasts an elegant, taller full-sized tower cabinet design that houses two new Dayton Audio 6.5” drivers and a 1” silk dome tweeter. With a meticulously engineered crossover, the Classic T65 creates an extraordinary musical experience, immersing listeners in rich, detailed sound that fills any room whether you are enjoying your favorite album or using them as part of your home theater system.

6-1/2" Bass Drivers

Dual 6-1/2" poly bass drivers allow the T65 to play low and are built to last for years.

Silk Dome Tweeters

1" tweeters provide clear distortion-free output in the vocal range and beyond, resulting in crisp clear sound.

Bass Reflex Cabinet

The larger tower design commands total control over lower frequencies with punchy room-filling bass.

Designed From the Ground Up

The woofers and tweeters in the Classic Collection are purpose-built for this series, ensuring that each component is perfectly matched and optimized for the best possible performance. This level of customization and precision engineering is rare in budget speakers, highlighting Dayton Audio’s dedication to delivering high-end sound

300-256

True Hi-Fi Design

The Classic Collection has real Hi-Fi crossovers which are crucial for maintaining the integrity of the audio signal, and ensuring that each driver operates within its optimal frequency range. By carefully directing the appropriate frequencies to the woofer and tweeter, the crossovers facilitate seamless integration between the two, resulting in a cohesive and unified soundstage. This meticulous engineering allows the speakers to deliver a high-fidelity audio experience, with each component working in harmony to reproduce sound as accurately as possible.

300-256.2

Full-size Tower Design

The full-size tower design of these Classic Collection speakers enhances their aesthetic appeal and greatly improves their acoustic performance. The larger cabinet size provides more room for the woofers to operate efficiently; allowing for better bass response and overall sound quality. Additionally, the tower design places the tweeters closer to ear level, ensuring that high frequencies are directed more accurately towards the listener. This thoughtful design element enhances the overall listening experience, making these speakers ideal for both music and home theater applications.

300-256

Best In-Class Performance

The Dayton Audio Classic Collection stands out for its exceptional build quality and superior sound performance. Many similar speakers cut corners to reduce costs, often sacrificing sound quality and durability. In contrast, Dayton Audio maintains a high standard across all aspects of their speaker design, ensuring that even their most affordable models deliver top-notch performance. For anyone looking to enhance their audio experience without spending a fortune, the Dayton Audio Classic Collection is an outstanding choice that offers unbeatable value.

300-256

Commitment to Quality

High-quality binding posts are another feature that sets the Classic Collection apart from other budget speakers. These binding posts ensure a secure and stable connection between the speakers and the amplifier, minimizing signal loss and maintaining audio fidelity. The attention to detail in the design and construction of these binding posts reflects Dayton Audio’s commitment to quality and performance.

300-256

Full-Length Grills

Another notable aspect of the Classic Collection is the use of full-length grills. These grills provide a sleek and polished look, protecting the internal components while maintaining an elegant appearance. The grills are designed to be acoustically transparent, meaning they do not interfere with the sound quality, allowing the speakers to perform at their best. This combination of aesthetics and functionality makes the Classic Collection speakers a stylish addition to any audio setup.

I didn't feel compelled to write a review on these right away. First impression was "Gee these are pretty good for the money." I took another reviewers advice and waited until they were broken in before I commented on them. These are on a simple 2 channel set up, powered by an Onkyo 8020 receiver. These speakers seem a little power hungry but the 50 wpc seems to be plenty of power. I played these speakers for about 40 hours over the course of 5 days using a clean fm station. The results are remarkable. These things really opened up. They really are amazing for the price. I wanted something affordable for my man cave and these are way way above my expectations. streaming off my wiim mini sounds amazingly good.

Bought these for my son at U of Pitt. Perfect balance of sound quality and price. Wouldn’t expect any less from Parts Express. No frills just excellent technical design and build. He had friends coming over to listen to records. He also mentioned the great bass response.

Use for stereo system.Looking for a AM & FM radio receiver. Currently have a SONY stereo receiver with a damaged power (on/off) switch. Because unable to turn off I just lower and raise volume every night & morning as it is used in office environment. Give me some options that has plug in receptacles for speaker wires. Give me some inexpensive options.

I paired these with Rockville 10 inch sub for an old school, 2 channel boomer and I am blown away at the sound for the price. If you drive these real hard they distort but, not before most people would be at an uncomfortable listening level. I have them about 12 ft apart, 2ft or more from the wall, sub in the middle. This setup sounds better at 75% volume than my friend's much more sophisticated speakers. These look good and don't take up much space. Once these have been out longer there will be crossover and driver upgrades to make them even better.

I have been building a little system for my record player. I have had many high end speakers over the years, Cerwins, Infinity, Polk etc. But, Im building this system on a budget…and honestly was thinking I wouldn’t get much for $200 a pair, and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and sound. The bass response is definitely fighting above it’s weight, in other words they thump pretty good for 6”. Do they sound as good as my VS80 Cerwins on my main system? No…but those were 2 bills a piece 30 years ago. I coupled them with 2 CV bookshelf speakers, and it sounds great when I’m spinning vinyl and even better on bluetooth . I have a graphic equalizer on the way and that will allow me to dial the system in completely. I don’t think you can beat these speakers for the money. They came in a big box with plenty of protection. I used banana clips on the speaker wires, super easy to hook/unhook. Overall, are they audiophile worty? …of course not, but I am super happy with the value for the money

Same review as their bookshelf cousins, these just aren't great. Maybe they are good, but the Klipsch models I bought for cheaper has better high end clarity, and MUCH better bass response. If you are looking for warm, under powered, retro speakers, these might be your jam. If you want accurate, look elsewhere.
