I used this with my off-grid solar array, and it works great. It arrived quickly and undamaged, installed easily, and so far works flawlessly (over a year so far). A little pricey, but worth it.

I bought these for the primary reason to be able to isolate my solar panels from my system. Turn them on/off. The mini breaker does that fine. Will they trip in a fault? I have no idea since I haven't had a fault yet. I've bought several to cover my panel strings. So far so good.

So the screw terminals have some mild laser etched pattern with no real bite to retain wire. While using 10awg THHN, I’d torque the retention screw as far as possible (why use a Phillips, I don’t know. So many better options) to the point that the unit is flexing and the plastic shell wants to separate. Only to find when mounting the unit, the cable will fall out. After some testing, I found that if you “crimped†the wire a bit by using pliers to pre-flatten the cable before inserting and screwing the retention screw, it performed reasonably well at retaining the wire. I will buy again as the price is right, but I’ll also keep a spare on hand.

I bought this for a solar disconnect for my off grid setup. I have two strings of panels coming in to my Signature Solar setup. With just a flip of the switch I can disconnect the incoming 24V power and make any modifications I want or install any other in line equipment safely. Took ten minutes to install.

Hopefully never need these, but will be glad I used them, if something happens. Seems excellent quality. The terminals are large enough to accommodate larger gauges of wire.

I got one of these double pole breakers to disconnect the solar panels from the controller and to protect the whole system. Although I doubt two 100 watt solar panels could cause the breakers to trip, the protection is there if something does go wrong. The DIN mounting system is excellent: just screw the plate where you want it and the breaker snaps in place. The two poles means one can disconnect both positive and negative leads with one ganged switch. I mounted mine in a enclosed location and I just lift a cover if I need to disconnect the panels. Controller manufacturers recommend disconnecting the solar panels before disconnecting the battery connection to the controller, so something like these breakers are needed to do that.
