This mandolin is beautiful. The tone of the lower strings is rich and strong. I have never heard such a nice sounding mandolin compared with the other three that I own. I like the fact that the electronics are on top hidden from view to make it appear more old style authentic. I only left one star off because the strings don't stay in tune very well. However, so many people have complemented me on the beauty of this instrument.
