My kid says they are very comfortable. We purchased other brands and returned, as they were not as wide as these boots. Kept those and we are happy with them. They definitely kept the water out during rain and when stepping in streams during hikes. Good product.

I've purchased the same pair for several growth sizes for 2 boys... Age 4 to 8. These are good shoes WITH the following caveats:1. These are sturdy BUT eventually break down. This means I've easily gotten to the next size in them BUT you won't be handing these down to a sibling or donating. These are basically disposable boots.2. We spend time outside working, hiking, fishing, etc. They are solid boots and saved more than a few toes from firewood drops. I do waterproof them however.Good luck.

My son wore this for a 3 days camp/field trip and said his feet were very comfortable. He did a hike and some parts were slippery, but the grip on these boots helped him navigate some steeper areas with ease. He's a tennis shoe type of kid and likes his shoes to be lightweight. He didn't complain about these at all. He wore taller socks so had no issues with the shoe rubbing his ankles or legs. It is true to size. I'll definitely purchase again when we are in the market for hiking boots

Only had 1week and the metal buckle/loop broke off, so couldnt tie boot up all the way to top since its missing the hook. The overall boot is great though, but metal hooks are CHEAP!
