So far so good. We use these in our closets in a super humid climate to combat mold. This thing is fairly quiet and really sucks a lot of water out of the air. It’s actually shocking how much water fills into two of these in a small closed closet. I’m hoping it lasts awhile because it’s doing a good job. Ended up buying a second one for another closet!

I was sad when our old dehumidifier broke and I found out it was no longer available. This one seem is much quieter than our last one and seems to be pulling more moisture out of the air. Plus, we like the colored light. I'm surprised it only cycles through green, blue, and almost purple. It will lock onto a color if you'd like. We've only had it a week, so I hope it lasts for several years like the last one.

We have a small table in our bathroom with a lamp for the night light. I installed the AlohaAir Dehumidifier under the table, and it fits perfectly between the legs. It works great. I suggest labeling the ON/OFF and LIGHT buttons to make them easier to read for senior citizens.

At first I had some trouble keeping the hose on the tank. It fell off a couple times and water was dripping out. However it has been working really well since. I think maybe the hose just had to firm up a bit so it wouldn’t slip off due to vibration. I’ve bought a couple of these small dehumidifiers and the one thing I’ve never liked is that I have to empty them every few weeks. This one solves that problem by using the drain hose. I also like the multiple speeds and humidity sensor showing how humid it is. The only thing they could do to make it better would be to have a setting that would shut it off and on based on the humidity. Overall I’d buy this again.

The AlohaAir dehumidifier is comparable to other dual-semiconductor units of its size that sell for nearly twice as much. It works well and has features many others do not--such as a color coded humidity level indicator, timer, 3 fan speeds, and an aromatherapy plug. It also came with a hose (to accommodate its continuous draining feature) and a manual with instructions on how to setup your unit for maximum efficiency and for troubleshooting.The humidity indicator tells me how well it is working at a glance. The timer feature was important to my deciding to go with this unit because I do not want to run the unit the entire night and can set it to shut itself off. The 3 fan settings let me control how noisy it runs. I keep it on the lower setting when I'm in the room and turn it up when I'm not around. Overall the unit appears well constructed and has been very easy to use. I have already and will continue to recommended this unit to friends and family.

The buttons to turn on the dehumidifier and its light are tiny and difficult to activate. You have to keep checking that it’s on (air flow from the top) as it sometimes shuts itself off. Also, the light can be on when the machine is not actually doing anything. When it’s functioning it does collect a lot of moisture, just needs to be checked often.

NOTE: i have updated this review to 4 stars bc shortly after I left a 1 star review, the company did reach out and provide a full refund. Appreciate the excellent customer service.1star: This product was great to start, but in less than 3 months stopped working. Runs as though it is on and the light functions, but the dehumidifier portion does not.
