I appreciate that this product can be charged two ways.It’s a great help with homeschooling two small children. They can sharpen their pencils themselves and feel independent and I have one less chore to do.

I tried it out tonight and it didn't sharpen very well. After I removed a piece of pencil from the blade it worked fine. I'm probably not going to be able to sharpen my art pencils with this but regular lead pencils seems to work fine. I do really like that it's usb or battery operated.

this sharpener not only does not work, it destroys pencils.. i am so frustrated by this ..as i love a nice point. this just either makes no point or constantly breaks the lead.... i know my sarhpebers and often waht casues this- but i m "stumped "here... i ve cleaned it, switched brands of pencils, laid pencils out for leads out to melt ( a pencil lovers trick)and i cannot find anyone to help me..

Surprisingly effective little sharpener! So far, I have only used battery power and I was impressed with how sharp it makes the points! (Not a fan of dull pencils!) I like that it gives 2 different sharpness options, (colored pencils imho don't need as fine a point for shading). I cannot speak to durability, as I have only begun using it, however it is definitely well worth the purchase price. Relatively quiet and compact.

tbh when i got this i was in highschool so i was able to carry it around easily and it sharpened my pencils well but it was a tad embarrassing cuz of the noise but its lasted me so long and its just as good of quality from when i first got it.

Seems to sharpen no 2 pencils pretty smooth but it gets a little "chippy" when trying to sharpen my colored pencils. It still gets them pretty sharp but the blade is cheap and can catch, making the base spin instead of the blade spinning around the pencil tips. Good for school kids and those needing an inexpensive pencil sharpener that "pretty much" works. As for durability, I don't expect it to last too long but we'll see.Pros:- Runs off of batteries AND usb (which is nice)- Sharpens no 2 pencils decently enough- Comes with 2 extra blades (assuming because they're cheap)- Price (but you get what you pay for. This was made to make money, not last)- Feels fairly solid build- Everything is in Chinese so luckily they DID put a book in English in the box.Cons- Doesn't sharpen colored pencils very smooth. You actually have to have a pretty solid grip on the colored pencil or it will spin in your hand, that or the base will spin.- Just a usb cable, no part that plugs in the wall.
