I got this to replace one of those battery powered doorbells that was constantly in the fail mode. I looked at the offerings Home Depot had but I wanted something more substantial and that would make noise when used. The HD knockers were too light and stiff. This door knocker is fairly substantial, the knocker swings freely and works really well in the noise department. Like everything else in life you get what you pay for.

I used this to replace a similar item that I removed when I sold the house because the original was engraved. It looks nice against the taupe front door.

It seems well made and it's heavy. I had to chip the screw but it was no problem as there were indentations to do so.

This is a quality, heavy door knocker. I had to trim the screws as they were too long for our door. The screw can only go into the knocker about 3/16". I like the design also.

I received my new door knocker and it has a hole in when i opened my package. my package did not have any damage. this is not worth the amount I paid for this product. Do not purchase this item
