Master cylinder is made of all plastic.Plastic threads broke just trying to bleed brakes.The solenoid flew off and brake fluid sprayed into my face this is total junk.DO NOT BUY !!

The master cylinder works great but the lockout solenoid quit working after the first day of use, and yes I checked for power and ground, the solenoid lost continuity internally.

I bought this Demco DA70 to replace a TDE Model 660 disk brake acutator. The emerganey breakaway cable on the TDE actuator broke off and the only way to replace it is to dissasseble the actuator and master cylinder. The Demco DA70 is a much better design. You can replace the emergency stop cable by just unscrewing one 1/2 bolt. Anohter nice feature of the Demco DA 70 is is easy to bleed the trailer brakes by just losening a couple of bolts and using a vice grip to pump the master cylinder. Bleeding the brake can even be done solo if you don't have a helper handy. Shipping and cutomer service for Demco is great.
