We purchased a very large home humidifier and water in KY has a lot of limestone and very hard minerals … Ran the machine for a week during very cold conditions outside …notice a white dust everywhere near the humidifier…. Purchase these and cleared up the issue !!! 👌

We purchased an ultrasonic humidifier. We did not have any white dust from use, but the flame on our gas stove turned orange. We put one of these in the tank and it cleared up.

Great little filters for humidifiers, especially if you have hard water. Helps to maintain units in good working condition. Helps prevent white dust residue.

Black schmutz appears all in my humidifier after using this product. Per the instructions I soaked 2 new cartridges in water for 15-20 minutes to try and get some of the activated charcoal? removed, but alas it was still present in my humidifier after using. I went to clear the humidifier and the internals were coated with that black dust, which I assume is activated charcoal. It was so present that I had to use vinegar and a toothbrush to try and get it all out. Regarding the white dust, it seemed to work to prevent white dust, until it didn't then everything around the humidifier was coated with white dust, including my main thermostat. I have not experienced that with any other product. So overall, I would try another brand and if any product contains carbon/activated charcoal soak it beforehand.

It didnt completely do away with the white dust from hard water. Having to use distilled water can be costly.

These have really helped my humidifier during this extremely dry winter weather. Just dropped them in the water and they work automatically couldn’t be easier.

Simple and they do the job very well. My humidifier still does give off the white film but its not as bad and it does not have to be cleaned as offten. Well worth the $$

The entire point of using these is to demineralize water in humidifiers therefore reduce white dust. They do not work. I dust every day and there is still a white film on my furniture every single morning. They also left black stains on the bottom of the water tank. Waste of money.

The capsules are somewhat Smaller than the original, but if they work, they are a Real bargain! Delivery was exceptional!

It seems that they were leaving some residue deposits in the tank, so I stopped using and returned them
