I bought this Wick 4B from Amazon for my cornet and have been playing with it exclusively for about a week and a half now. I really like it.It has a deeper cup and more open bore than I'm used to, but I've been giving myself some time to adjust. It's coming together better than I expected. Responsiveness was good right away, and my sound is starting to focus. My intonation has been off a bit, but that's my fault, not the piece---anyway, that's starting to come around too.I had read some comments from other cornet players on web forums who said that they thought the inside of the rim on Wick pieces was too sharp, which made endurance difficult. This hasn't been a problem for me at all. I think the shape of the mouthpiece is really good, playable and comfortable.The main reason I bought this piece was to try and get more of a characteristic cornet sound with my cornet playing---less "trumpety." The Wick 4B gives me that. It isn't a drastic difference, but my sound is more "cornety" than what I was getting with my Bach-style pieces. Just a shade darker, but still clear and resonant, not muffled, and with a somewhat brighter sound within reach if I drive the air a bit.I'm happy with my purchase, and I'd recommend this piece to other cornet players.

It is a big cup so it takes more air to make it speak. If you are after a nice big round cornet sound, this mouthpiece is worth a try...

Is there a place for me to complain about the shipping? This mouthpiece is intended to be a gift and the box is pretty beat up from its journey. The mouthpiece itself seems fine, but couldn’t it be protected better during shipping?

Really depends on what type of sound you are looking for. Me personally as a jazz playing I prefer really old type of sound. This mouthpiece is a little bit large size as a flugelhorn mouthpiece, it creates a sound like a trumpet which is really not my thing because honestly if I want a trumpet sound why dont i just play a trumpet... anyway this product is fine for what it is

My son is a beginner coronet player. He likes the mouthpiece better than the original that came with his horn.

I was on the hunt for a new mouthpiece for a long time and, not knowing much about them, I struggled. This mouthpiece was recommended by a fellow cornet player, and I must say, it's been fantastic since purchasing. Highly recommend!

Das Mundstück ist ok, eignet sich aber nicht für Trompete ( Bach) Dieses Mundstück kann ich nur mit einem Adapter gebrauchen.Diese Mündstück ist für Cornett und Flügelhorn geeignet, leider.Muss ich jetzt so hinnehmen.Die Größe vom Mundstück wurde mit denis Wick 3 bestellt , aber es kam Denis Wick 4Mit freundlichen GrußWolfgang Spengler

Arrive quickly. Bought to replace my old Denis Wick 4B gold plated mouthpiece after returning to playing after 20 years break. Excellent smooth finish as expected, sound produced is much better than using the cheaper spare mouthpieces I had lying around. This is the mouthpiece recommended to started learning with many years ago and I'm still very happy with it. Highly recommended.

Dieses Mundstück wird im Titel für Trompete deklariert. Es wird ein Mundstück für Kornett geliefert. Diese sind anders und nicht kompatibel.

The mouthpiece was just as ordered but somewhere along the way the box containing the mouthpiece was trampled on. The problem is that if I don't get on with it and want to sell it I don't have the original box . Fortunately the mouthpiece itself wasn't damaged.Perhaps you can arrange a new box and post it flat to my address?Thank youMartin
