I'm new to needle felting and purchased this pad. I cover it with an acrylic felt sheet. It's much better than working on those small white blocks that come with some needle felting kits. I like the size and the feel of the material. It's easier to use for any project.

I use this foam to line aluminum camera cases for custom accessories for my telescope. With a sharp, long box cutter, this cuts easily into the shapes I need. It is the perfect depth for those standard cases. For this purpose, I highly recommend.

Bought this foam pad for reverse felting because the wool pad's fibers get pulled through with my colored wools (go-figure).... Aggressive needles will grate this foam like parmesan cheese. Used for two small projects, and 25% of the face is worn down into a pit. Love the idea, but perhaps an open celled rubber-foam would prove more resilient.

Excellent ,dense pad for felting. Very happy with the quality. If you felt, I just learned a way to keep the pad clean, buy a square of felt in a craft store and use it on top of the foam.

This foam pad is not dense foam - it's just foam. It works, but it hasn't held up as well as the Kaizen foam that I've ordered in the past. It also likely wouldn't hold up that well as a seat cushion because it is so soft. I've found that soft foam breaks down very quickly from needle felting and I end up with bits of gray foam in the piece. (Even Kaizen foam eventually does this, but it takes much longer to break down.)
