Was having trouble cooling the 454 in my 1970 Nova. I have a 4-core radiator and a fan shroud but in stop-and-go traffic, the engine temperature would go through the roof! I had tried different aluminum and flex fans, but nothing helped. A friend pointed me to the fixed pitch steel fans with a clutch. I didn't want any slippage, so I opted for the direct belt driven fan. This unit has a very aggressive pitch and moves a ton of air! It is a little noisy (sounds like the engine has a turbo charger!) but it's a small price to pay for a functioning cooling system! This fan is rated to 8,000 RPM and is made in the USA. If you're having cooling issues, give this fan a try!

I was super impressed with the quality of this fan. Truth be told for the low price point I was purchasing this to test airflow on a rather expensive Ford 428 CobraJet engine and was then going to keep in the shop as a spare. It is so well built and provides such great CFM velocity that I am just going to leave it on. Tip of the hat to the manufactured for such an excellent build quality.

This fan is loud but man does it suck air. It's loud with the hood open, once the hood is closed I can bearly hear it. Im glad I purchased this fan.

My air conditioned 55 Belair has a big block that was running a heavy duty 7 blade flex fan for the past 10 years, it cooled fine around town until the dreaded traffic jam when the temps would begin to rise. I don't have the room for a clutch fan setup so I chose this fan. It is noticeably louder especially at my cruising speed of 2200 rpm, by 3000 my exhaust drowns the sound out. The middle of winter in northern Illinois is no time to test for overheating situations, but its obvious this fan sucks a lot more air thru my trans cooler, ac condenser, and desert cooler radiator than my flex does.

Installed in front of performance 440 mopar. Always hit 210-220 degrees at an idle. After fan install temp rises to about 200....never higher not even in august in Florida!!!

This is a well built fan that pulls a ton of air. That's just what I needed to help keep temps down in slow traffic in the hot AZ summers.
