My ‘56 Pontiac with 4 blade fan was running a little hot when stopped in traffic.It went over 200 degrees at stoplights.The improved airflow with the Derail fan was instantly notable and now doesn’t go above 190 in the extreme heat.I recommend this fan as a low cost upgrade for vintage cars.

If you want the most powerful heavy duty mechanical fan this it is "The One" , but it is about 4 lbs which is at least a pound and a half heavier than a flex fan same size and will take a shorter spacer than a flex the way it's made.

My small block chevy is staying below 200 degrees since I installed this fan. Even on days when the temperature is in the 90's.
