For those that have a 2.3 liter 1997 Ford Ranger that needs a new fan (can’t buy oem anywhere), this fan will work with a Derale 34550 2 1/2" Universal Fan Spacer. You will have to purchase four (4) 8mm X 80 hex bolts as the kit will not fit your water pump. You can’t use your fan clutch anymore so this is a direct mount to the water pump, but it won’t affect things too much. Overall this is a good solution to keep your old truck running.

Good craftsmanship, quality materials.My OEM plastic fan needed replaced and they no longer make them so I had to ditch the fan clutch and install one of these with the requisite aluminum spacer kit.It's does the job. It is loud! These fans make a lot of noise when the rpm's go up. Wear gloves when installing / removing it. You can slice your palm open quite easily on this.

I wanted to try a flex fan that can move more air and this one worked great. No problem with installing it with the correct size spacer.
