This DERNORD Wing Nut Clamp Flange Quick Clamp Stainless Steel 304 with Centering O-Ring is commonly used to build foreline vacuum plumbing and process systems. A circumferential clamp and centering ring form the vacuum seal between the connecting flanges. The material of the clamp and centering ring is stainless steel 304,and the red O-ring of this wing nut clamp is made of FKM.This SS304 flange quick clamp is easy to assemble and has high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.This clamp vacuum fittings follow ISO-KF standards.Wing nut hing clamp are often be used in Degassing Chamber, Vacuum Oven, Vent Lines. KF-16 /KF-25 /KF-40 are available.

Metal clamp rings are ok, I've seen better, as they appear to be made from pot metal or have a poor chrome plating on them which makes them look poorly made. Oring spacers seem typical from others I've gotten, seem to work with no issues.

I'm assuming that if you're like me you're ordering vacuum parts from Amazon for the convenience and price, not necessarily for top of the line components. That said, I'm quite happy with these, and they've work well so far.The clamps do have a cast look about them (they're slightly magnetic, so I'm guessing 304 SS) but function just as well as some machined and polished clamps I have kicking around. Most importantly for me: the threads are well formed and clean, and the wingnuts move smoothly. The centering rings have a very nice finish to them, and the FKM O-rings look well formed and clean.I'd recommend anyone looking to stock up on a budget.
