This 2 inch Dernord Sanitary Butterfly Valve exceeded my expectations on build quality and cost.My intended purpose may not be what this valve is for, however it is a nice addition and is over built for my use.The valve is heavy machined stainless steel, the butterfly is thick steel, not a thin steel flap. The ferrules fit my 2 inch silicone gaskets and tri clamps perfectly.The handle has a spring that requires you to pull it, to remove it from a locking position, and then turn. There are three locking position.The silicone gasket is advertised as food grade and seals tightly, which requires a bit of force to fully close.If this valve doesn't leak in the future, Dernord will be my go to for distillation equipment.

This valve is amazing. I made a brew, "keggle," out of a 15.5 keg, this works flawlessly. I have purchased most of my tri-clamp parts from Dernord, I have not been disappointed with a one! It has 3 locking positions, closed, 1/2 open, and fully open. The nice thing about this design, (other than, "easy to clean), you can set it anywhere and the silicone seat holds the position. Highly recommend this valve!

All the mirror finish stainless steel parts were packaged properly and were delivered with no damage. All parts were as they were stated. 28 pcs in total.I will absolutely continue shopping with Denord products.

The valve works great. Taking away one star for service parts availability. I like to have extra parts on hand incase of failure. The seller said they were supposed to make 3†valve seals available and they haven’t done so. This is the type of thing that can ruin the day if no parts are on hand.

This is as close to perfection as it gets for a 3 position valve. It’s beautifully made and the action is smooth, easy and precise. Ideal for dry hopping which is what I use it for as part of a hop bong.

I was a little dubious about this valve because some bad experience in the past with parts sourced from China but this valve looks great. The machining is well done, the fit and finish is uniform and well done. The valve operation is smooth, if a bit stiff right out of the box. I bought other Dernord parts to be attached to this valve and I am happy with all of them. I would definitely look to this supplier in the future.

Can hardly believe that somethings this well-made was so expensive. It even came in a sweet little drawstring bag. Amazingly heavy.
