I recently bought this battery eraser for the second time because during a move I lost or misplaced the first one I purchased. I recommend this eraser to all who have the coloring disease, and who use colored pencils, like myself. This eraser is perfect for erasing small and large areas, making stars in dark skies, creating eye shine, reflective surfaces, creating sun rays across trees, etc, etc, etc. When I first started coloring it would always frustrate me so much to use a handheld traditional style eraser. The back & forth movement would inevitably smear the colors around the area I was trying to erase. With this battery eraser you do not have to worry about that anymore! You can accurately erase areas without smudging colors. This eraser comes with two sizes of erasers for larger or smaller areas, which I love! I actually like to have two of these; one for each size so I don't have to switch out the settings or bracket that holds the refills. Plus this listing came with ample refills in both sizes! The cost is great & the shipping was fast! It takes two AAA batteries, easy to load, & you just push the side button in to start the eraser! Super easy & efficient! Powered by a pair of AAA batteries, the motor operates at a high speed, while producing a fair amount of torque. The white eraser is a good quality product that is very effective at removing pencil lines from paper and other objects. I have used a Derwent battery powered eraser for several years and have never had a problem of any kind. I bought this one for my budding-artist granddaughter who always used mine, but has moved to another state. The first thing she asked for was this eraser. It is sturdy and easy to use. Believe me, mine takes a lot of abuse and use, been dropped a few times, had liquids spilled on it, and who knows what else with kids around, but it works perfectly. The only drawback was that this one had been opened when I received it which is why I rated it low on value. I question whether or not it was a return, but it seems to work fine, so I sent it on to my granddaughter, along with a pack of extra batteries.

I saw someone using a Derwent Battery Operated Eraser on a YouTube video last month. It wasn't long after that when I started seeing other battery powered erasers being shown on YouTube as well. I decided to take a leap of faith and buy a Derwent Battery Eraser, since I've heard such positive things about many Derwent products over the past few months. Upon getting mine, I put my 2 AAA batteries inside and covered them with no problem. Soon afterwards, I goofed up by starting to color a combination the wrong color! I just picked up the eraser, pressed the ON button with my thumb and ran the eraser tip across my Vellum Paper. Problem SOLVED! Then I tried erasing colored pencil marks off my scratch coloring poster. I was so pleased that it erased mostly all the colors. The reason I gave this a 4 star rating is because this Derwent Eraser is designed to fit ONLY the large (5mm) erasers. Maybe one day, the manufacturers of this eraser brand will design one that fits both large AND small (2.3mm) erasers. That way, people will have a choice as to whether they want to buy the one that holds just large erasers OR the one that holds BOTH size erasers. Nevertheless, I'm glad I purchased this nice, comfortable battery eraser. Thanks Derwent for a great product!

I wish I had this gadget on previous colored pencil projects. It amazed me how lightweight it is and it really does erase very small spots, with practice. Now that glint in an eye and white whiskers are things I look forward to.

First battery eraser I’ve owned and I’m thoroughly impressed. It’s not loud but if I was being very picky it could be quieter. The power it has erasing is excellent.

I needed a good eraser to remove pencil marks from a prepared canvas surface. Nothing but a wet cloth worked and it also removed the gesso I added in advance. This electric eraser did the job beautifully. I read in one comment that the head of his unit wiggled around and seemed loose. He had a dud and should have just returned it for another instead of complaining about it. Mine is tight, does not wobble and works fantastically! I highly recommend this Derwent Battery Operated Eraser!

The Derwent Battery operated eraser is rather good. Good to create highlights/light tones while sketching. Also, find it easy to erase any errors.
