This Desert Cactus University of Illinois tie is well constructed with no loose threads and has a nice structure when making a knot. I like the placement of the logo as it is obvious enough to see yet not too loud when I wear it. The tie is on the slimmer side which makes it look more modern and goes well with my dress shirts. Whenever I remove this and fold it back I noticed that there are are no permanent wrinkles from the knot and the shape of the tie holds up nicely. I highly recommend getting this tie if you want a quality tie to show Illini pride.

This Illinois tie seems to be high-quality and the colors are spot on. The windowed box allows for a preview of what's inside, which makes it a great option for gift-giving. I like that the I is not just screen printed but is woven into the fabric. The length seems to be about average and the material is slick and smooth without being too shiny.

The quality of this was similar to other ties I own. Nothing extra, but nothing to detract. Just a basic tie. The patterning in clear and the "I" pops just enough to let folk know who this is for.

Even though I'm a proud alumni of UIUC, this is a great tie, even if I'm biased. I have worn it 3 times, and so far no loose threads, no pilling of the fabric, and it has maintained its structure. I love that it has double tipping (the piece of fabric on the back that holds the short end in place).I will mention that I'm 6'1'', and the tie gets too short when trying to tie a full Windsor knot - it doesn't look bad but I wish it was 0.5''-1'' inches longer. Beyond that, find the tie for your school and enjoy.

Ordered this tie as a gift for our son, a proud Fighting Illini graduate.The orange and blue colors are very bright and accurate for the University of Illinois. The "I" logo is large enough to be seen but small enough to be tasteful. The windowed box that it comes in also works well for gifting.Well done!

My husband works at the University of Illinois and my son is a student there so this tie will get used for sure!It is really nice quality and comes in a box to keep it neat and folded. The colors are perfectly spot on. I love the little orange block "I" at the bottom. This tie is not overboard Illinois, it is perfect.Go Illinois!!!!!

This tie is high quality, the colors are true to the school colors, and the stitching and construction look great. This tie would make a great gift for any Illinois alum, Professor, or fan!At the time of this review, this item is priced at $29 which seems pretty fair for a licensed item and a nice tie. I’d say it’s a good value.
