Warning: This is not a Bucilla stocking kit and therefore should not be taking on by a beginner sewer. The pieces are a 1/4 inch too large for placement outlines and all have to be recut, or they won't fit on the stocking backing. There are paper pattern pieces, so the felt doesn't have any placement markings; this makes putting Santa's face together very difficult seeing there are 11 pieces. Honestly, because this kit was the only one with a cat, I would have returned it!!! I have made 8 felt applique stocking and wall hangings so I'm not basing my opinion on one kit. This one is truly aggravating! Design Works, please print on all the colors of felt and make the pieces to the correct scale (that should not have ever make it to market). This kit in it's design was made to be a frailer for the average sewer.

I didn’t know that Abigail portion of the pattern has paper cut outs. This is very annoying. I did buy another stocking from Design works and opened it and it has the same paper patterns. Not very happy about that.

I was expecting something else totally different. I thought that the felt would be already print it there for immediate kind of difficult for me to trace the pattern

Thankfully I've made 15 other stocking kits, mostly Bucilla, and this was awful to put together! All of the other kits I've used has the pieces already printed on the felt. This one by Design Works makes you transfer the pattern on blank pieces of felt. The instructions were completely confusing as well. I'll never use this brand again.

You would have to be good in making stockings my package didn’t come with a needle it says it does not enough thread I had some lines would not match up you have to have good scissor to make your own template I kept it only because I couldn’t find a cat stocking that had a grey cat
