This is a small desk type calendar. Paper, tear-off pages. The pages are pretty thin. But it works for what I need it for. I use a pencil and it tolerates erasing. So for me, it works as a paper calendar. Kind of small for desk - but too big to carry around too. If that helps. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. I like that the top plastic sheet is not noticeable. The plastic sheet had a couple of spots of sticky, gummy stuff on them and it won't come off. Not sure how that got there since it was in a plastic bag.
