I use this to brush apart mats that my cat gets. It works really well. My cat loves how this feels as a regular brush. It helps grab excess fur.The tips are a little sharp, but still safe to use.Easy to use if your cat likes to be brushed.

I love the handle. My dog gets a lot of knots and the way the handle is designed, it really gives me good grip, it’s ergonomic, and just feels solid so that I can work out my dogs matted hair. Bristle design works as described. Sometimes I have to keep the comb upright to really work through some of the knots but it works.

I have only used it on one of my cats. I'm going to underline the word cat. S it may work great on a bigger dog. But for a Persian cat that doesn't weigh. But 7 pounds is just a little bulky for taking out tangles. Although professional groomers do use at home very similar to this for Persian cats,
