I bought these cv axles and installed them in my 09 sierra 1500. They were installed for approximately two months and one of the axles snapped in the hub end and locked up causing my truck to pull hard into traffic. Thankfully I was in traffic and wasn't moving very fast, but had I been going 60 mph it would have either caused an accident, or potentially destroyed my front differential. Not worth it! You get what you pay for. I reached out to Detroit Axle about it and they didn't seem at all concerned but said they would warranty the cv axle that broke if I would pay to ship it to them. I said that I was not interested since it would've costed so much to ship it back and I didn't want to install another unsafe part in my vehicle. When I said I was not interested in a replacement, the customer service rep got a little cocky and said I could write a review if that would help me feel better. I see it from their point of view, but I would definitely warn against using any of their products in a vehicle as it is certainly a dangerous risk to take. Not to mention having to spend thousands to buy a new differential for your vehicle.Edit: the other side ended up snapping in the same exact spot! Do not purchase!

Not sure why others have negative reviews, or why theirs broke immediately. Maybe installed incorrectly? Mine went in without a problem. Driven about 300 miles since install, still in perfect shape. I also replaced lower ball joint, upper control arm, sway bar linkage, and tie rod ends at the same time.
